“Ever since I was born in my lifetime in this country, I have rarely seen a politician publicly state that he:
left office after serving as governor with funds still in the state treasury,
built over 800 kilometers of roads,
transformed his state's education system from near the bottom to one of the best-performing,
and declined to collect pensions or benefits meant for former governors.
It is also often argued that his impeachment stemmed from his refusal to approve what he considered an inflated budget for renovation projects, which he reportedly completed for less than ₦400 million instead of the billions initially proposed.
Furthermore, despite years of public scrutiny, Nigeria’s anti-corruption agencies have not secured any major corruption conviction against Peter Obi.
For many of his supporters, these are the qualities that make him stand out as one of the most remarkable political figures in Nigeria’s history….”
Building a Healthier Nigeria Through Stronger Healthcare Systems
As part of our desire and commitment to building a healthier Nigeria, I met with some healthcare professionals and experts in the United States on Friday, June 5, 2026. The meeting was essentially to deepen my understanding of how successful health insurance systems deliver improved healthcare, especially in the areas of primary and emergency care.
One of our key health objectives remains unchanged: to expand health insurance coverage, strengthen primary healthcare across our electoral wards, train more healthcare workers, and make quality healthcare accessible and affordable for all Nigerians.
A New Nigeria must be a healthier Nigeria.
A New Nigeria is possible. -PO
"Jesus never said, 'Worship Me.'"
I used to say that as a Muslim.
Then I thought about it more. Your boss never says, "Bow to me," either.
Yet everyone in the office knows exactly who has authority.
Authority is recognized by how people respond to it, not just by the exact words used.
That's why this argument never made sense to me once I actually read the Bible.
After the resurrection, the disciples fell down and worshiped Jesus. He didn't stop them. In John 9, the man born blind said, "Lord, I believe," and worshiped Him. Jesus didn't correct him.
In Revelation 5, all of heaven worships the Lamb.
Not an angel, Not a prophet: The Lamb.
And if Jesus were merely a prophet, accepting worship would have been blasphemy. Instead, He received it.
That's because Jesus never walked around with a slogan saying, "Worship Me." He did something far more powerful.
He forgave sins and He claimed divine titles.
He accepted worship and He rose from the dead.
And the people closest to Him didn't just admire Him. They bowed.
That's the point.

Not Tinubu, whose every outing abroad brings us embarrassment and shame!✍️
@Ogbenisaheed01@rsalami208 Sometimes I wonder how one can be so stupid to be happy seeing a foreign tribe coming to kill your tribal people because of religion. That's the height of madness and brainwash.
In your head, you think you are pleasing a god called Allah. Chai!!! What a wasted brain
@Ogbenisaheed01@rsalami208 So you are happy that the terrorists(your Muslim brothers) are killing your tribal people, demanding to take control of your ancestral land and demanding sharia.
Just imagine if every other religion is doing the same thing your terrorist Muslim brothers are doing. Chaos! Think!
@Africa_Arise_@instablog9ja Make it make sense. Trump is sponsoring the terrorist and he's still the one bombing them. It doesn't make sense.
It has to be one of the previous administration of truly U SAID is sponsoring those Terrorists
The part that broke me the most was where he had to lie to them that he was not a Christian, but a Pegan. John must have thought that he’ll be freed if he says that. Then when the torture got out of hand, he shouted JESUS.
And these monsters said, “Oh! I thought you said you don’t know the name Jesus! I thought you said you don’t know the name! They insulted him and make mockery of his own JESUS”. They made him to denounce his own JESUS.💔💔💔💔🤧
Tonight, my heart is unbearably heavy…
I watched a man cry out in pain, helpless, beaten, and treated as though his life meant nothing and it broke something deep within me. Lord, how did we get here? How did we become a people who watch suffering and feel so powerless?
In his cries, I heard the echo of Your Son, Jesus Christ, who in His agony still looked up to You and said, “Father…”because even in pain, He knew You were there. So today, with tears in my eyes and fear in my heart, I call on You the same way… Father, please do not forsake us.
This land is hurting. The fear is real. The silence is loud. And for those of us who have nothing, no protection, no voice… it feels like we are left at the mercy of darkness. Lord, please arise. Let Your justice speak. Let Your mercy move. Let Your presence be felt again in this nation.
Please save that man, John… wherever he is right now, step into his pain. Hold him in ways no human can. Send help he cannot see. Fight for him when he is too weak to fight for himself. Remind him that he is not alone, even in that moment of terror.
Lord, I have no money, no influence, nothing physical to offer… but I refuse to be silent. So I give You this cry, this pain, this prayer. Please turn our tears into testimony. Turn this darkness into light. And remind us that You are still God, even here… even now.
Because at this point, Lord… You are all we have oh Jesus 😭😭😭😭😭🙏🏿🙏🏿🙏🏿
SEE HOW THEY HAVE CONVERTED THE CHRISTIANS THEY KIDNAPPED IN KWARA STATE. WE SAY THERE'S ISLAMIZATION AGENDA, YOU !D!OTS SAY ITS NOT TRUE. GOD WILL PUNISH YOU ALL.
We must raise a Christian Militant Group to end this Jihadists menace.
Nigeria Is Not A Country. It Is Gilbert Chagoury’s Private Estate.
I was in Geneva today. Two hours with a very senior Swiss banker — a good friend. The subject was Gilbert Chagoury.
This man does not laugh easily. He laughed constantly.
Every time I described what was happening in Nigeria — every contract, every honour, every port deal — he laughed. Not with me. At Nigeria. And I sat there feeling something I rarely allow myself to feel. Shame.
Here is what I was telling him.
Since Tinubu took office, Gilbert Chagoury — a man convicted in Switzerland for laundering Abacha’s stolen funds — has collected over $12.7 billion in Nigerian federal contracts. The Lagos-Calabar Highway. Tin Can Port. Apapa Port. Snake Island. All without competitive bidding. And the President’s son Seyi sits on the board of a Chagoury Group subsidiary — then goes on television to tell Nigerians his father is not enriching his friends.
My banker friend laughed at that one the longest.
In January, Tinubu gave Chagoury Nigeria’s second highest national honour. The presidency didn’t even announce it. Someone posted a photograph on X.
Then came London. A £746 million port financing deal sealed at Downing Street during Tinubu’s state visit — with Chagoury reportedly in the delegation, and his company already selected to execute the contract. The British know his history. They have decided it does not matter.
My Swiss friend told me plainly: Nigeria will never be taken seriously as long as a man who helped Abacha loot the treasury can return decades later, collect billions in contracts, receive national honours, stand beside the President in London, and face zero consequence.
He is right.
I will not stop writing. But tonight I drove back to my hotel carrying the weight of a country that deserves so much better than what it is being given.

“They shot him more than 20 times.”
Shahbaz Bhatti was the only Christian cabinet minister in Pakistan.
He openly defended persecuted Christians and opposed the country’s blasphemy laws, knowing it placed a target on his life.
Before his death he recorded a message:
“I know people want to kill me.
But I want to live for Christ and die for Him.”
In 2011, gunmen ambushed his car in Islamabad.
They shot him more than 20 times and left pamphlets claiming responsibility for killing a Christian who defended the faith.
Christians are being hunted like animals in Nigeria.
Islamist groups are invading Christian villages and shooting everyone in sight. They are killing Christians on Eid and offering them as human sacrifices.
The government is silent.
The media remains silent.
How do you explain that Fulani Jihadists and Terrorists burnt down, destroyed and annihilate the people of Yeltawa, a community in Benue state and the government did nothing. Provided no aid nor rebuilt the community.
Infact, even the president didn't go there. He claimed it's "raining" and the "roads are bad".
But Alex Babir, a beloved son of God, and missionary, left his comfort in the US and spent his hard earned money to rebuild the community of Yeltawa, with 35 houses for the displaced people.
Instead of applaud and support from the government or both state and federal, guess what he got? Opposition and ridicule and propaganda and threats against his life.
Our leaders are evil, that must be casted out with a superior power of Jesus Christ.
What Nigerian influencers, politicians, leaders and celebrities couldn't do, they'd rather spend billions on frivolous lifestyle , Alex Babir did it
Alex, if you're seeing this, I want to say thank you from the bottom of my heart. More grace and glory upon your life, in Jesus name.
Since it has now been confirmed that over 150 worshippers were kidnapped from churches in Kaduna, where and how did those who denied the incident initially get their information?
And since those who deny threatened to punish the people said to be spreading falsehood, who now face the punishment?
In any serious country, this would trigger decisive national action, clear communication, and visible leadership. Leadership is not only about grabbing power, but it is also about presence. It is about speaking when citizens are hurting, acting when lives are at risk, and showing clearly that every Nigerian life matters.
We must act now to ensure that all victims are released safely and unharmed, and to continue confronting decisively this persistent crisis of insecurity in our nation. Enough is enough.

Is Nigeria cursed, or are we the curse?
The past 10 days in Nigeria have witnessed unprecedented negative news, a level of chaos, insecurity, and institutional decay that should trouble the conscience of all the leaders.
Our country is now going through troubling times, not by fate, but by our collective leadership failures that allow insecurity, lawlessness, and institutional decay to thrive. Each day confronts us with a new tragedy and a new reminder that our beloved country is drifting amid a clear absence of competent, compassionate, responsive and responsible leadership.
We have all watched a nation blessed with people of strength and resilience drift into avoidable disorder. We should be asking ourselves: Are we cursed, or are we the curse?
The past 10 Days in Nigeria
1.11/11/25 – 6 senior directors from the Ministry of Defence were kidnapped along the Kogi axis, reminding us that even those tasked with securing our nation are no longer safe.
2.15/11/25 – A senior military officer, a Brigadier General, was brutally executed, a grave signal of the danger engulfing both civilians and security personnel.
3.16/11/25 – 64 civilians, including women and children, were abducted in Zamfara, with innocent lives also lost in the attack.
4. 17/11/25 – 25 schoolgirls, young children with dreams and innocence, were abducted in Kebbi and their Vice Principal was killed, adding to the heartbreaking list of attacks on our nation’s future.
5. 18/11/25 – Worshippers praying peacefully in a church in Kwara State were violently disrupted, with some killed and about 38 abducted. A place of worship, meant to be a sanctuary, became a scene of fear.
6. 18/11/25 – A disturbing crisis unfolded at the PDP Wadata Plaza headquarters. Instead of de-escalation, elements within the security agencies worsened the situation and further instigated it. Rather than focusing on protecting citizens, the government watched with amusement, encouraging the destruction of political parties and the weakening of our democracy.
7. 18/11/25 – During the All Nigeria Judges’ Conference, judges who should embody neutrality and integrity were seen standing as the APC partisan song “On Your Mandate We Shall Stand” played ahead of the President’s address. This troubling moment further eroded public trust in institutions expected to protect the rule of law.
8. 19/11/25 – Soldiers heading to rescue the Kebbi State abducted schoolgirls were ambushed, showing once again how undersupported our security forces have become.
9. 21/11/25 – Nigerians awoke to the devastating news that over 300 schoolchildren and 12 teachers were abducted from a Catholic school in Niger State.
10.22/11/25 – Bandits opened fire on farmers in Kaduna killing one of them.
23/11/25- Terrorists Ambush, Gun Down 5 Police Officers, Injure 2 in Sabon Sara, Darazo LGA, Bauchi State
November 23, 2025
And just as I was speaking about this, I received yet another devastating report about the abduction of 13 female farmers in Askira-Uba LGA of Borno State today by suspected Boko Haram/ISWAP Terrorists.
No serious nation survives on excuses, indifference, or absentee leadership. What we are witnessing is not inevitable, it is the direct consequence of we the leaders not valuing human life. Nigeria is bleeding because those elected to protect the nation have chosen comfort over courage, politics over people, and power over purpose.
We the leaders must remember that governance is not a title, it is a duty to protect every child, every community, and every citizen. We need competence, compassion, and a government that shows up when it matters the most.
To every Nigerian shaken in these past 10 days, my heart is with you.
You deserve safety, you deserve peace.
We deserve a government that values our lives above politics.
Nigeria must rise again.
