World Environment Day 2026 was celebrated at Orient Area, MCL. The Environment Flag was hoisted by the General Manager, Orient Area, in the presence of Union Representatives, JCC Members and employees. Distribution of saplings was also undertaken for a greener tomorrow.

Team Orient Area, MCL organised a free health checkup camp at Primary School, Rajpur village, Brajrajnagar Municipality. A total of 62 beneficiaries, including 31 males, 26 females and 5 children, were screened and diagnosed for hypertension and diabetes, along with comprehensive general health check ups that were also carried out.

Our medical team also identified and managed several skin and orthopaedic conditions on-site, ensuring extended care and support for the community. This initiative reflects our continued commitment to community welfare and strengthening healthcare access in our operational areas.

MCL Orient Area organised a Free Health Checkup Camp at Kalyan Mandap, Bundia Village. The camp provided screening for hypertension, diabetes and general health concerns, benefiting 66 villagers including men, women and children from the nearby community around Hirakud Bundia Mines.

Doctors identified new cases of diabetes and hypertension while also addressing several skin and orthopaedic concerns on the spot. The camp reflects the continued commitment of MCL to community welfare and preventive healthcare for rural populations across Odisha.
