@Anorak_NFT NFTs are really hard to gamble. The fees are high and the liquidity is low. They're not easily traded back and forth. I think their purpose is more status symbols of wealth than a great gambling avenue.
@0xfoobar @reformedmanlet People are confused because it's being marketed as a stablecoin with yield. Maybe intentionally to get this kind of reaction and publicity.
@MikeMcDonald89 NFT success has nothing to do with an eye for art. It's about inside knowledge about what other whales and influencers are going to do. It's a social game, not an art game.
@huntersolaire_@gabrielleydon People can build up credibility and popularity. You see it here on CT all the time with anon accounts over 100k+ followers.
I guess my point is he didn't start from 0 on Twitter and get to 100. He started with a great lead that is very hard to replicate.
@huntersolaire_@gabrielleydon If an anon came out with a random account that challenged web3 conventions, they'd just be shouting into the void.
Gabrielle came into Twitter with instant credibility and power already. It's not a blueprint most can follow.
Is there something like the free-rider problem, but in a positive way?:

If we didn't have people trying to short term trade an asset WITH A 10% TRADING FEE, how would these projects survive?
Thank you for your service🫡
@kurorosage It's nice that people are coming up with new ideas, but it's a step backwards for decentralization to have transfer whitelists. How much do you own something when another entity can decided where you can move it?
@gabrielleydon@limitbreak Can other features be used without the transfer whitelist ability? That is the one I'm against and will make me really re consider any long term holding for projects that implement this.
@spencernoon Are we going to do this every bear market? It will always be hated and mocked during a bear and celebrated during a bull. Has nothing to do with terminology and everything to do with recent price action.
