@djkidscene@BallParkBuzz I wasn’t as high on Roman as others. I rate athleticism high and I don’t find him to be very athletic. I was high on Mayer and have been disappointed. I know MLB is hard and it happens a lot, but I expect more from a #4 pick.
@djkidscene@BallParkBuzz Sorry. Yeah, I’m a realist too. Honestly I haven’t been overly excited about any of the young guys. We’ll see how they turn out, a few look promising, but at this point I don’t have any untouchables on the roster other than maybe Early and Tolle.
@djkidscene@BallParkBuzz We (Red Sox fans) do that with every young promising player. It’s part of being a Boston fan.
For Bello, we don’t need Pedro, but at least a suitable MLB pitcher? Right now he is not.
@JordanLeandre55 I think waiting until July is smart because teams in the hunt are willing to pay, but you can’t always decide when a deal gets done. The risk of doing nothing is worse in my mind.
@JordanLeandre55 I guess the market determines the timing. I wouldn’t pass up a deal now only to find out in late July we are in the same situation and the deal is no longer available.
Personally, I’m cashing in on 2026 now.
@Ryblades27 But he’s not. He is this month, and was 2 seasons ago but in between he has been pretty average. Those guys can’t be the 2nd most valuable person on a team and you can’t build around them.
I like Duran, but like a stock I prefer to sell high.
This team stinks, time to rebuild
@JApleseed2801@BoSoxInjection Nah…not sure about really good player, but a really streaky player. Plus, we have too many outfielders and we need to build for the future. This team needs an overhaul.
@TomFornelli I love softball but my biggest problem with it is one pitcher can carry a team all the way until the end. A top pitcher can cover a lot of team flaws.
