You are 100% right. Off late, so called paid journalists have started promoting average batters and bowlers like Babar, Shaheen etc unnecessarily. They have forgotten that:
Imran Khan has been the overall greatest player, Captain and all rounder we produced.
Javed Miandad has been the best batsman we ever produced.
Wasim Akram has been the best bowler we ever produced.
Since Javed Miandad has gone old and doesn’t appear much on media, it doesn’t mean that we forget that for more than 2 decades, he single handedly played numerous matching winning conditions against toughest opponents on toughest soil.
Mr. Babar Azam is not even 5% of Javed Miandad.
