A sneak-peek of Superman I did in 2022, based on an earlier version I made in the early 2010s. One-day I’ll finish my African irl religions, architecture and culture illustrations AND my other projects. But I’ll be 32 this month and I’m still poor. 😞 Back in college at least…😞

“I saw this as a necessary step, not only because I was innocent..but because I knew that in the racist legal system, I would receive no justice”

Rest in power to our elder Denise Oliver-Velez. Although the Young Lords has been framed as a Puerto Rican organization, 25 percent of its membership was African American and many of its members, especially the NYC branch were Afro Latino. @DeniseVele49788

@WISKIMMUSIC In all my years of seeing this, I never get tired of it. Truly, a precolonial indigenous masterpiece. This has been confirmed to be the head bust of a woman Ooni.

@WISKIMMUSIC Guro sculptures always have had this unique profile about them.

@iamNeare Beautiful work! Keep it up. Wish I could’ve kept going with my African art career when I was in my 20s. That said, advice: just be more specific/visual with the specific African cultures that inspire you, like architecture, armor, masks etc. “ancestral Africa” is to vague

The wrong gender symbol for Anansi was a mistake (I've always known Anansi is male). I noticed the mistake the day I uploaded this art piece. But I never bothered to upload the fix until now. I'm not really an artist anymore.
