@jesslynnrose It still sounds so weird in American English, but makes sense I guess.
“You alright?” is a much more intense/pointed question in the US that implies the person is NOT ALRIGHT
@jesslynnrose When I was in the UK I was immediately taken aback by people asking me "You ok?" and "You alright?". Turns out it's a substitute for "How's it going?" which I have NEVER heard on any British TV show but is used by everyone.
How does one respond to this? Do I not look okay?
