I'm trying to come out of my shell a bit and share little stories behind my art with you guys. I'll start with "One last bet". The piece that ignited the whole Vintage Addictions series.

1993, I was 9 years old.

He’s gone for days again. Trying his luck over and over. The phone rings, He won big! finally coming back home.

Hours pass… No sign of him. Mom seems worried. The crows outside seem cheerful.

He shows up at night, half dressed and bruised. They stripped him down, hung him over a bridge and took everything. Told him it’s his lucky day.

He promised: “One last bet”.
He’s gone for days again.
