Sad to hear of the passing of Pat Grennan, (Brig Gen. Retd). Former General Officer Commanding, Curragh Command, Pat joined the Defence Forces in in 1948 and was commissioned in 1950 as part of the 21st Cadet Class. May he Rest In Peace.

@conorsmurf I think for me the biggest issue is the uncertainty. My first year uni daughter is happy to know at where she stands - college in UK shut for her until February 22 - so she is getting on with it. Here it changes overnight. That’s too difficult to bear.

@joeliveline please send love to my parents pat and nancy Grennan who have been reunited after 16 months apart. Dad was in Curragh Lawn Nursing home and they were wonderful but Mam was too lonely. He’s home with her now and looking forward to Christmas in no 23. 64 years married
