The Bears continue to say that they will make a decision by 'late spring/early summer.' If they're going to honor that - and if they truly aren't using Indiana as leverage to try and stay in Illinois - then there will need to be an announcement long before the fall veto session barring J.B. Pritzker calling a special session this summer. And more and more it's looking and feeling (and has been for months) like Illinois is never going to be able to give the Bears what they want RE: property tax certainty or any loopholes to not pay property taxes on a new domed stadium. Based on everything we know, the Chicago Bears of Hammond, Ind. feel more like a reality today than at any time up to this point.
Teams are 30 hours away from being able to utilize post-June-1 cap benefits via trades and cuts.
