The role of the traffic police is to regulate traffic, enforce road safety, and issue penalties (challans) for violations.

They do not have the authority to inflict physical punishment on citizens. Any act of physical violence by an officer is a violation of the law and human rights.

Right to Due Process: If a rider fails to stop, the legal recourse for the police is to note the vehicle's registration number, track the owner, and issue a challan or summon the individual to court.

सिर्फ 6 हजार रुपए मासिक वेतन पर सरकारी नौकरी शुरू करने वाले ओडिशा के बैकुंठ नाथ बेहरा की करोड़ों की संपत्ति का खुलासा हुआ है। बैकुंठ नाथ कंधमाल जिले के बलिगुड़ा स्थित एकीकृत जनजातीय विकास एजेंसी (ITDA) के असिस्टेंट एग्जीक्यूटिव इंजीनियर हैं।

🔴ओडिशा विजिलेंस को बेहरा के पास आय से अधिक संपत्ति होने की शिकायत मिली थी। इसके बाद भुवनेश्वर के विशेष न्यायाधीश (विजिलेंस) के सर्च वारंट के आधार पर विजिलेंस ने शुक्रवार को भुवनेश्वर, जाजपुर, बारिपदा और कंधमाल जिले के कुल 9 ठिकानों पर एक साथ छापेमारी की।

🔴इस दौरान 5 बहुमंजिला इमारतें, 13 प्लॉट, सोने के गहने और बैंक लॉकरों से करीब 2.4 करोड़ कैश बरामद किए गए हैं। सभी संपत्तियों की कीमत करोड़ों में आंकी जा रही है। इसे हाल के वर्षों की सबसे बड़ी आय से अधिक संपत्ति की कार्रवाइयों में एक माना जा रहा है.

Cell Division Vigilance SP Sushant Kumar Biswal says, "Simultaneous raids were conducted at 9 places today, including his residential paternal building office... We detected 5 high-rise buildings, 13 valuable plots in and around Bhubaneswar, gold ornaments, cash, and bank deposits. Approximately Rs 2.4 crore in hard cash was recovered from his bank locker and house... The evaluations of the buildings' values are yet to be completed... Further details and financial calculations will be shared after the investigation concludes..." (06.06)
