Why does the opposition communicate through lengthy letters? On X
Is this 1973? No one is going to bother reading a long letter.
Make a video or audio under 2 minutes flat.
Hate him or Love him, Mr Bayo Onanuga gives you an unfiltered access to the mind of the President.
He’s one man you can truly say speaks for the President. He mirrors Tinubu’s lack of empathy and concern towards the suffering masses. Just like his boss, he’s completely disconnected from the harsh realities citizens face everyday as a result of their actions.
@Slimchineme@AishaYesufu Do you understand what consensus is? Consensus as provided for in the electoral context means all the aspirants have agreed to step down for and endorse a particular aspirant. Where all fail to reach agreement, then they go for the ballot
Dear Senator Henry Seriake Dickson @iamHSDickson
While I take my time to properly address your allusion of me not playing by the rules which I consider very disingenuous seeing how I followed the process and even when you had insisted there would be no primaries for senate I let things go and asked my teeming supporters to focus on the bigger picture, I toured the FCT pacifying my supporters and party people who rightfully felt disrespected as they were all waiting at their respective headquarters for primaries that never happened. (I played field politics, I never waited for anyone to give me ticket), I would like you as the National leader to watch this video again!
This part of the interview was so painfully appalling to watch. It looked as if you were insecure and in competition with your Presidential Candidate. Your first one on one interview after primaries and instead of selling your candidates and giving confidence to people on how set the road to winning the 2027 election was, you made it about yourself.
With all due respect sir, it looks as if you consider the NDC a Special Purpose Vehicle whose aim has been achieved just by being registered instead of a Political Party whose aim is to win the 2027 General election decisively!!!! The registration of NDC should be a means to an end and not an end in itself.
As a leader of a Political party, your number one job in that interview was to pacify aspirants many of whom are rightfully aggrieved and secondly to call on supporters to bear with the party and support it but you ended up antagonising the very people you would need to win election. Every vote counts! A leader must stoop to conquer!
No one can take away your leadership of NDC, no one is interested in that! The focus is on Nigeria is winning the 2027 election!
It looked as if you are fighting a war no one is waging with you. You don't have anything to prove to anyone, just lead! It is also interesting how as a leader i see you shifting the blame with any process that doesn't go well or is called out. Even in this statement below, you did! Take all responsibility! The party is young. It was overwhelmed. Mistakes will be made. Accepting the mistakes and being accountable is how the party will get better.
There is a whole battle ahead of us. Rescuing Nigeria from the current state it is in, should be the main focus not people's fragile ego!
Let me round up with some words from Jim Rohn: IF WHAT YOU DID YESTERDAY IS STILL LOOKING BIG TO YOU TODAY, THEN YOU ARE NOT DOING ENOUGH!!!
Everyone is focused on what Tinubu and Wike are doing together before 2027.
Nobody is talking about what happens between them after it.
Wike sat in a meeting with Tinubu and other political figures and volunteered, unprompted, to hold the PDP for Tinubu against 2027. He has delivered Rivers State and crushed Fubara. He now controls both the PDP and the APC structure in Rivers State heading into the election. He is publicly declaring the coast is clear for Tinubu’s re-election and mocking the opposition as fragmented entities that have forgotten what they want.
Well their relationship is not loyalty but it is a transaction. And every transaction has a settlement date.
Now ask yourself what Wike actually wants.
He is not doing this for governance. He is not doing this for Nigeria. He is doing this because Wike has always operated on one principle: he must never be on the losing side, and the winning side must owe him something substantial.
In 2023 he delivered the same calculation. He broke from Atiku, helped fracture the PDP, and backed Tinubu. His reward was the FCT ministry and the muscle of federal power to dismantle Fubara.
He got what he wanted and he is doing it again in 2027.
The question is what has he been promised this time?
Scenario one: Wike gets his reward and stays useful.
Tinubu wins, Wike is repositioned into an even more powerful role. A party chairmanship, A structured post-ministerial arrangement that keeps him relevant and protected. The alliance holds because both men still need each other. Tinubu needs someone who can manage the South-South without him having to be present. Wike needs federal cover for everything he has built.
This is the surface reading but also the most fragile.
Scenario two: Tinubu wins and Wike becomes inconvenient.
This is Nigerian political history on a loop.
The godfather who helps a man to power becomes a problem the moment that man is secure. Tinubu knows this better than anyone. He spent years managing godfathers in Lagos before systematically neutralising them one by one.
The moment Tinubu is sworn in for a second term, he is a lame duck constitutionally. He will immediately be thinking about his legacy and about who controls the APC going into 2031. Wike is too big, too loud, and too independently powerful to be a comfortable ally in that environment.
History says Tinubu will begin to quietly withdraw the scaffolding holding Wike up slowly. Contract approvals delayed. Allies might be repositioned. The federal muscle that crushed Fubara suddenly less available.
Wike will feel it before he can name it. And by the time he names it publicly, it will be too late.
Scenario three: Tinubu loses.
If the opposition coalition consolidates and Tinubu loses in 2027, Wike becomes the most exposed political figure in Nigeria overnight. He will have burnt his PDP bridges, delivered Rivers State to a losing candidate twice, and have no federal protection against the incoming administration.
His entire post-2023 political architecture collapses simultaneously.
Makinde has already said clearly he will not support Tinubu and that Wike is working alone. The PDP governors who stay opposition will remember everything. And the new president, whoever they are, will have a long list of scores to settle in Rivers State.
The deepest truth about the Tinubu-Wike alliance is this.
Two men who have spent their entire careers using people are currently using each other. Neither trusts the other. Neither expects loyalty beyond utility. Both are calculating their exit before the entrance is even complete.
In Nigerian politics, the most dangerous moment in any alliance is the morning after the election.
That morning is coming.
And when it does, the Wike who was photographed laughing with Tinubu at commissioning ceremonies will discover what every godfather in this country eventually discovers.
Power does not share a second term.
Church scatter today, Nigerians are tired. I believed videos will soon surface online.
Our Governor Rt Hon Elder Sheriff Oborevwori sent delegates to church this morning to give thanks for his 3years in office.
They brought a lot of food items to give thanks, i mean a whole lot.
They hold microphone begin campaign for Tinubu re-election, church scattered.
Pastor couldn’t calm the situation again oh, people started leaving.
BREAKING: Abdulaziz Umar ganduje, son of Abdullahi ganduje purchased the NDC party nomination form for Dawakin Tofa,Rimin gado and Tofa federal constituency Kano state.
Justice MG Umar of @FederalHigh in Abuja who struck down the @inecnigeria guidelines on party primaries two days ago has released the text of his judgment.
Yesterday in Abuja, the Federal High Court in Abuja nullified the timetable & schedule for party primaries for #NigeriaDecides2027 issued by @inecnigeria. Here is the text of the court order.👇
Here is the judgement from the Federal High Court, no 6 is encompassing:
1. INEC can only monitor 2027 primaries but cannot fix timetable for when a political party should conduct its primaries for this election
2. INEC cannot give a shorter timeframe or abridge the period in which a political party can provide information of their candidates for 2027 election
3. INEC cannot give a shorter timeframe to political parties as regards withdrawal or replacement of candidates (Placeholders)
4. INEC cannot publish any final list of candidates for 2027 elections before 60 days to election.
5. INEC cannot fix 2027 campaigns to end 2 days to elections.
6. This is AN ORDER nullifying and setting aside the timeframes imposed by INEC for 2027 General Election for:
- the conduct of primary elections by political parties for the 2027 general elections
- the submission of personal particulars of candidates by their political parties for the 2027 general elections
- the withdrawal and replacement of candidates by political parties
- the publication of the final list of candidates for the 2027 general elections and campaigning.
This would be a game changer.
“Kenneth Okonkwo Was Busy Raining Curses On Peter Obi. I Had Private Discussions With Him And Warned Him Not To Do What He Is Currently Doing, Because He Would Regret It, But He Said He Would Never Work With Peter Obi Again Over His Dead Body. Well, Peter Obi Is a Different Kind Of Politician. I Have Worked With Him For Years, And He Will Never Give You Money To Vote For Him. Peter Obi Has Said He Will Never Engage In Transactional Politics Or Use Money To Buy Positions To Serve The People That’s Why They’re Against Him.” ~ Senator Victor Umeh On Kenneth Okonkwo
Open Apology Letter to the Obidient Movement
My Dear Obidient Family, I come before you today with a heavy heart, deep humility, and no excuses. Some time ago, in a moment of frustration and immaturity, I wrote and released a resignation letter as Director of Mobilization. In that letter, I allowed deep frustration & personal emotions to cloud my judgment. I made statements that subtly and unnecessarily dragged Peter Obi, a man I still respect for his vision, integrity, and sacrifice for this nation. That was wrong. It was childish, and beneath the standard I should have upheld, especially as someone who once held a leadership position in this movement.
I take full responsibility. No one forced me to write it. No one edited it. It came from me, and it was a mistake. I deleted the letter afterwards, but I know deletion does not erase the damage, the disappointment, or the loss of trust many of you felt. I understand why some of you no longer respect me the way you once did. You had every right to feel let down.
To Peter Obi himself (fondly called PO): Sir, I am sincerely sorry. My words were not a true reflection of the values of sacrifice, accountability, and constructive criticism that you preach. I failed in that moment. To every single Obidient, the ones who stayed grinding, the ones who defended the vision even when it was tough, the ones who felt betrayed by my actions, I am deeply sorry. You are the real heroes of this movement. Many of you are young people full of hope and fire for a better Nigeria. You didn’t deserve to see internal cracks turned into public drama. I let you down.
I am not writing this because I want something or a position in the movement as I’m enjoying private life. I am writing it because it is the right thing to do. Leadership is not only about when the road is sweet and smooth; it is also about owning up when you mess up. I own this fully. I am committed to rebuilding trust through consistent actions, not just words. But I also know trust is not demanded, it is earned back slowly, if at all. Thank you for reading this.
Whether you accept my apology or not, I respect your feelings and your right to hold me accountable. The love I have for a better Nigeria has not changed. You all know me. My respect for the Obidient spirit remains. I am sorry truly.
With humility and hope for forgiveness,
Your brother in this struggle,
Morris Monye.
Oya come let’s hug. 😊
Last night, I received a courtesy visit from my brother, His Excellency Peter Obi, shortly after his successful screening as the presidential aspirant of our party, the NDC.
The future is bright and full of promise. - RMK
