Was pleasantly surprised to find Guru Dutt's passport in the British Museum, at the pinnacle of the South Asia collection in the post-independence section. Issued in 1950, he would have been no more than 25 here, with bright eyes gazing ahead to an incredible decade…laajawab ho!

@_John_Handel in his defense, i think it’s a debate where the historiographical stakes seem big and clear, so not a bad way to introduce historical arguments and writing! But yeah maybe a lot for first-years lol
