Im not so shure, due to the limited time, interest and sources I could applied to Mr Soros (not his son Alex).

He seem more to operate out of opportunity then leftist/Marxist and even Poppers worldview. In my view, and it’s spekulative, he was more the ontologic interested guy. I don’t think that groupthink is his thing, it’s more that he seen a niche and uses the acteurs as force multipling vectors.

Not quite. Taking the bus to the supermarket isn’t a chicken-or-egg problem — it’s a grown cultural adaptation and structure. It has widened the form and substance of life to a degree that’s incommensurable with anyone living 200 years ago. It’s built on imitation; supermarkets and the routines around them look roughly the same worldwide.

You could say learner and teacher are hen and egg, but unlike biology — where the egg reliably produces the same outcome (it’s still a perfect egg job) — the learning system transforms itself with every iteration. The “offspring” isn’t identical; the whole structure evolves.

I’d picture it with a Mandelbrot set and its iterations versus a simple non-iterative equation. Simple rules, repeated across generations and scaled by technology, generate complexity that quickly escapes its origins.

Today you seem to treat intelligence more as a distinct thing (the ability to build models for control) rather than a relation – an emergent process between agent, environment, history and embodiment.

What further changed in your thinking? Which insights make you draw such a sharp line between “real” model-building intelligence and the relational, imitative kind that biology (including our own retina and cortex) and current DL both rely on heavily?

Do you still see intelligence primarily as relational, or has it become more substantive/platonic in your view? Or is it? Curious about your current position. Maybe I misunderstood your work years ago.

To what platonic universal form of intelligence are you referring? And how you can stipulate it, considering you are not Platon.

At least I would estimate that with that concept most people are deepfaking human intelligence.
