@XH_Lee23 Looks like an evaporation air conditioner also called a "Swamp Cooler". Those work great if not too humid and use very little power. A fan blowing through something like a sponge water evaporates from.

I have an ancient one with a conveyor belt which goes into water reservoir.

High speed rail would make remote from city center real-estate but near a station more valuable.

@zhao_dashuai People I know who became engineers learned more from their hobbies than school. Young kids writing video games on early 8-bit computers were getting experience similar to university classes except skipping boring useless garbage.

Maybe China has schools that don't suck.

@RetroMemoriesHQ DOS sucked(Running a 80286, 386, 486 etc as a 20-bit address 8086). Windows sucked. So glad Linux is here.

8086 sucked too. What is the deal with those segment registers 32 bits of address bits generating a 20-bit address? Seemed dumb first time I read it and still seems dumb.

Do a temp job in shipping and it is amazing how much plastic is wasted.

Could be one day throw away as much plastic packaging I use in my entire life.

@TheLaurenChen I trekked around China almost 3 months in 2007 and people seemed content. Cities were in good shape. Lot of construction everywhere. Kids seemed bright and healthy. Rarely saw moronic delinquency.

Some Tibetans(My favorite places) said they had trouble with Chinese.
