Some good news from Dr Perry this morning 🙏🏻
There have been slight improvements across all my blood markers. I am not out of the woods yet, but I am moving in the right direction. My blood pressure is much better, and the Cytokine Release Syndrome is now behind me.
My first tiny step up dose of Talvey flattened me. I developed cytokine release syndrome overnight and was rushed to hospital. Huge thanks to good Samaritan Wayne Roffey, who collected my lifesaving Talvey in JHB and drove it to Cape Town Airport. Next dose Saturday. 🤞🏻
A fun long weekend ended on a downer. I arrived for platelets this morning with dangerously low BP of 81/45, yet I still feel fine, just low on power. I’m postponing China to start Talvey in hospital and fight these myeloma numbers.
No Retreat. No Surrender. ❤️
Just one hour after surgery and around 100 internal and external stitches, Dr Greg Ash and I were still smiling. 😂
Cancer can attack my body, but it will never take my spirit.
No Retreat. No Surrender. ❤️

Cancer changes your life in an instant.
Today I received my first platelet transfusion. On Wednesday I’ll receive more before another skin cancer is removed.
To everyone fighting cancer: don’t let it take your spirit. Hope is a choice, and it’s worth holding onto every day
As a sportsman, I’ve always believed that if you can’t measure it, you can’t improve it.
Today, the numbers are about survival.
My Kappa Light Chains dropped from 1080 to 755 after just 4 days of a water only fast, giving me hope. But my calcium has spiked and my platelets have
@ziggibson@tnseyfried Because it saved my life twice and facts are facts. Research Professor Thomas Seyfried then let me know what you think he has been in the game for 55 years
@OscarChalupsky There is no clinical benefit from water fasting for days. Just accelerated catabolism with loss of lean body mass, impaired gut mucosal integrity and generalized compromised immunity. Sadly none of these benefit your body in its attempt to help you survive.
Cancer is like the weather—it can change in an instant. My calcium levels have shot up and my markers aren’t good, so I couldn’t receive my Keytruda today. But I still feel strong. Day 5 of my water-only fast, and I’ll keep fighting because storms don’t last forever. 💪❤️
A tough weekend. My Kappa light chains jumped from 20 to 1,080 in 2 weeks, and tests confirmed a heavy Pseudomonas infection requiring IV antibiotics. Yet I still feel positive. We can’t always control what happens, but we can control how we respond.
No Retreat. No Surrender

Public speaking is one of the toughest things. 6 years ago I was fortunate to be one of the first students on @RichMulholland Story to Stage programme. The lessons I learnt from Rich and the Missing Link team still shape every talk I give. To be the best, learn from the best.
Back in South Africa 🇿🇦 and straight back into the pool despite the winter chill. The warm weather in China made it easier, but you have to keep going. Chemo done, next stop Keytruda. Keto, @wings Hyperbaric, and a positive mindset. Never give up. 💪
