@donmcgowan Thanks, it was incredibly difficult over there but one thing I can say is that the Ukrainian people are made of strong stuff, they are fighting for the right to exist, it’s heartbreaking

@richardhyland Also because the schools are paying VAT it means they can also offset any VAT they pay for goods and services which they couldn’t before, and they can also do the same with capitalised projects going back 5 years so ultimately this entire policy is a net loss for the tax man 🤦‍♂️

@prchovanec For the money being spent on replacement equipment, this is a benefit to the US right? The money to replace outdated equipment going to US companies so an uplift (employment and taxes) and US arms sales internationally are growing too by other countries doing the same?

@richardhyland So a PC player using a controller is fine but not one using a keyboard / mouse? I don't play fortnite personally but for other games I do play console players have better auto-aim to get around the mouse / keyboard problem to level the playing field

@richardhyland There’s so many things wrong with taxation where combinations result in huge discrepancies between what people pay, I agree it’s unfair and would love to fix it but the reality is 98% of people don’t care since they don’t earn enough to be impacted, I’ve just learned to accept it

@richardhyland You could but I suspect it’s still harder to spot abuse and would require a larger increase in the amount of households needing to submit a self assessment

@VirginTrains Wanted to share my praise for the train manager on the 14.40 EUS to MAN, tried her best to help a customer that had bought the wrong ticket, who was totally rude in response but handled it brilliantly, top customer service IMO
