#rstats #help?! imported the excel file using click and point method. All my columns are data-type 'character', so age is not 'numerical' and i cannot do any analysis on any column. can I import my data differently so numerical columns are put in as strings? Any help appreciated!

Took me about 4 hours today to write this code - just tidying raw data up. Took the opp. to learn new #excelformulas for re-naming variables. The formulas took longer to learn than renaming manually, but the extra time has built Excel #transferableskills!��#rstats #statistics

Wk5 - applying #rstats learning today: spent 1 hour trying to understand how to adapt my imported excel data into a 'data frame' format, only to find that it had been in that format from the moment I imported it. I am terrified of what the second hurdle will hold.
