Sorry to say we just hit 418.3 parts per million atmospheric CO2 yesterday. In some ways, this is slow moving mass suicide. On second thought, maybe it is not so slow.
Phenomenal. Bar-tailed Godwit has broken its own record: a first-year bird (five months old!) has flown 13,560 km—just shy of the direct flight limit of a Boeing 787—from Alaska to Tasmania, seemingly non-stop, in just 11 days (avg. speed: c.51 km/hr).

@RockyCape1 @D0CT0R_Dave @jones_ann Thanks so much for your info Helen! By the way, I’ve looked up yr B& B online and looks great. Might pay you a visit in January!
@RockyCape1 @D0CT0R_Dave @jones_ann This is all that remains of slime mould a week later. Not much! Really appreciate yr wisdom on this Helen. What stage of its life cycle is this?
@RockyCape1 @D0CT0R_Dave @jones_ann Thanks for that! The OOZE was amazing! Problem is I saw it bushwalking so quite a long way from home for regular checks!
@RockyCape1 @D0CT0R_Dave @jones_ann Whoops. Didnt mean to delete. Here’s the photo of suspected slime mould?? Any idea? Found in Warby Ranges. I touched it & yellow toothpaste stuff oozed out!
@D0CT0R_Dave Ha! Snap! At base of Warby Ranges Glenrowan yesterday - casual birdwatching. First sighting a Yellow-footed antechinus 3 Metres up tree whacked by a Yellow-tufted honeyeater. Was quite a sight!! Then several Turquoise parrots, brown treecreepers, white-bellied cuckoo-shrikes, etc
@FionaPattenMLC Thankyou Fiona so much! It is so important to be out there about health issues. You have inspired me to be a bit more open about my own. Wishing you all the very best in yr cancer journey! Such a positive attitude is an enormous asset in yr recovery. Xxx
@jones_ann@ABCTV@ABCscience I did LOVE last nights show @jones_ann. And it was SO informative … learnt so much. It should be COMPULSORY viewing!! Had the fortune to see those Acacia Peuce trees a month ago on a trip to SIMPSON. Incredible.
