Greater advocacy is required for this enormous group of underserved patients. We have come so far with coronary disease; Acute revascularisation, secondary prevention, rehab - all due to Research- basic & clinical. Now we need the same for AF & Arrhythmia. #EvidenceBasedFunding
@PrashSanders@WongChrisX @GregHuntMP @marshall_steven@StephenWadeMLC@PictonChris@nhmrc Arrhythmia Research in 🇦🇺 is covering the complete translational axis: Basic science -> clinical trials -> implementation studies. This is unique and EPs all over the word are aware of this.
Very surprising that local funding agencies obviously miss this...
@NalliahRomesh @GregHuntMP Amazing how government, funding bodies and groups claiming to represent cardiovascular health all do not get this, ignore it or have their heads buried in the sand - @nhmrc@heartfoundation @OzCvA and @GregHuntMP need to re-evaluate and re-calibrate #FundTheCorrectPriorities
@GregHuntMP Your advice on cardiovascular issues is biased - how it can continue to fail to address atrial fibrillation and sudden death is unbelievable. Atrial fibrillation is now the most common cardiovascular reason for hospitalisation https://t.co/fJtk5sobEr #NeedBetterAdvice
