October is Italian American Heritage Month, and as an Italian American, I'm proud of the families who came here, worked hard, and helped build this country.
Italian Americans fought for decades to make Columbus Day a federal holiday, yet some states and cities are now replacing it.
That's why I introduced the Italian Heroes and Heritage Act, which would bar federal funds from any state or local government that celebrates Indigenous Peoples' Day instead of Columbus Day.
We should honor our heritage, not erase it. 🇺🇸🇮🇹
