Onkey does not have the funds to pay back at this moment. When SVA signed on to Onkey I made a deal where I would ONLY pay in partial payments every month leading up to the event because I was weary on a new business partner, it turned out this was the correct call because of the deal SVA was fortunate enough to aggressively and quickly recoup our sponsorship. At this time SVA has been paid back the $2000 we spent on onkey to date.

I never touched this money as I had a funny feeling when we parted it would be needed. SVA will be pledging this $2000 to Artist alley artists who have not gotten a refund on their table and I am adding an additional $500 of my own money coming to a total of $2500 I will assist artist alley artists with recouping their loss from this event.

I do this NOT to help onkey but because I know the financial strain paying for a table can be and how devasting a loss of a few hundred can be when you are already struggling. We will commit to cover up to $2500.

Again, I do this NOT to help onkey. The reality is the vendors and artist alley participants will most likely not be paid back. This is the best I can do to assist. At this time I am only starting with Artist Alley.

Oshi-V Labs is a one-person team right now, and I wasn't expecting the recruitment post to blow up as much as it did. I want to thank everyone for the criticism.

I made the post without expecting so many people to see it. I know this type of recklessness wouldn't be appropriate for much larger creators. There was no malice in drafting the agreements, and I will be more careful in the future.

All that being said, I have no ill will towards Flork. I LOVE HIS COMICS AND FOLLOW HIM. It was my bad wording that made it sound so poorly.

hello thank you for being upfront, I don't mean to come off as aggressive. Your wording made it sound like these were written out licensing agreements and I have personally seen peoples lives RUINED because of botched licensing deals to companies. Flat fees on small run items are normal but reserve these to standard merchandising agreements. It will be easier and cheaper for you and easier for the client to understand. If you have a lawyer draft a proper one it will be a one a done deal for you.

I completely understand the concerns. For clarity, we haven't signed any contracts with any VTubers. icecreamismydrug is a recent client of mine who agreed to be part of the first batch printed on a lighter, and I consulted Pennycentless's manager about creating lighters with Pennycentless's image on. My plan with Oshi-V Labs right now is to focus on the indie talent we have, and the recent post was meant to boost engagement and advertise the products. I talked to the managers of both Icecreamismydrug and Penny Centless about selling in batches of 13. I paid for the art for both lighters and decided to pay both creators a flat fee per batch. I now see this isn't a feasible way to move forward, and I will consult a lawyer before continuing.

Both VTubers involved still fully own their images and, to the best of my knowledge at the time, were compensated, and I admit it was irresponsible of me to move forward so negligently.

Hold on what does it mean to license a flat fee for licensing? For clarity is your set up a lump sum to get a one time licensing agreement for ONE item class and one item drop? Not a royalty split per item sold?

How are you facilitating licensing agreements to these vtubers? Licensing agreements are very very specific and need to be handled carefully did you have a lawyer write up the specific licensing agreement to specify it as a one time use for one item as specified? Could you please offer clarifying info

And people please for the love of fuck don’t pile into something unless you understand what any of this means, you sign one bad licensing agreement and your shits gone FOREVER
