All thanks to X for freedom. If it didn’t exist, most people would never have heard about the Epstein files.
In a meeting yesterday, MACL DMD Mujthaba said that after the new terminal opens, resort airport staff should not be allowed to go with guests up to the check-in counters.
He said they are only there to “earn tips”.
He doesn’t understand our hospitality industry.
It’s the friendly, helpful service that guests get at VIA Airport what makes our airport special compared to others in the world.
MACL staff don’t have the special knowledge about each resort or airline that’s needed to help luxury guests. The resort reps get special training and follow int’l brand rules. Many famous hotel brands also require the rep to stay with the guest until check-in is done. Tipping someone for good service is normal, it’s a way of saying thank you, not something bad.
Mujthaba needs to enroll in a hospitality crash course.
