Here’s the Puerto Rican revolutionary (photo below), his name is José Maldonado Román, known as Águila Blanca (White Eagle); he fought for Puerto Rico’s freedom and independence against both Spain and the USA.

Both Spain and the USA considered him a “bandit” and troublemaker, but Boricuas considered him a hero. In 1897, Aguila Blanca and other patriots revolted against Spain in the Intentona de Yauco, where the Puerto Rican flag was first used in Puerto Rico to fight for freedom and independence (photo below).

Aguila Blanca is a patriot, hero, rebel, and revolutionary in PR history, although the PR colonial government today ignores him in the curriculum because of politics. They don’t want PR students to know about their pro independence patriots.

This movie by @Residente and @sanbenito will do for Puerto Rico what Braveheart did for Scotland. It will inspire pride and freedom!

No wonder PR colonialists and statehooders are already panicking and attacking the movie.
