ENOUGH IS ENOUGH, THE DISRESPECT TO GHANAIANS MUST STOP
In any serious country where honesty still means something, leaders would have resigned by dawn after this level of blatant contradiction and disrespect. But here, in Ghana, we watch the same people who exaggerated our challenges in opposition, who prayed for chaos just to win power, now turn around and expect unquestioned loyalty from the very Ghanaians they deceived.
How long can we keep pretending?
WHEN THE NDC WANTED POWER, EVERYTHING WAS A NATIONAL CRISIS
They told us the presidential jet was in perfect condition, fit for use, not worth replacing, a symbol of waste. They told us renting a plane was wicked, extravagant, insulting to the poor.
They told us buying one was a crime against a suffering nation!!
And Ghanaians listened. Ghanaians trusted.
Ghanaians voted overwhelmingly!!
Because they believed the NDC’s moral lectures. They believed the tears, the shouting, the outrage. They believed the sermons about prudence, discipline, and the suffering Ghanaian.
AND NOW? JUST 11 MONTHS IN POWER…
The same people who screamed that Ghana was too poor for a new jet have quietly decided to buy an even more expensive, luxury presidential aircraft, one fitted like a flying palace, complete with bathrooms and a kitchen in the sky.
Suddenly Ghana is no longer poor? Suddenly the country can afford Arabian king comfort in the air? The hypocrisy is breathtaking!!!
WHILE THE PRESIDENT BATHS IN THE SKY, LOOK AT LIFE ON THE GROUND
Nurses and teachers they promised automatic posting are still home, struggling.
Utility tariffs have gone up over 28%, crushing households already suffocating under high living costs.
Inflation may be down on paper, the cedi may look stable on charts, but prices in the market are at record breaking highs.
Over 35,000 young Ghanaians have had their employment terminated, left to hustle for daily survival.
Businesses are bleeding, savings are evaporating, and families are choosing between food and electricity.
But the priority, the urgency, the emergency…
…is a $60 million presidential jet? Is this leadership? Is this seriousness?
THIS IS A BETRAYAL OF THE YOUTH WHO BELIEVED THE LIES
Those of us who knew the NDC’s record are not shocked. We warned. We remembered the cycles of broken promises. We remembered the patterns.
But the Gen Zs, the young, hopeful voters believed the speeches, the TikToks, the slogans, the performance activism. And now, barely a year in, reality has slapped them harder than anyone expected.
The disappointment is deep.
The betrayal is painful.
THE GRACE PERIOD IS OVER
Ghana doesn’t have time for political jokes anymore. Not with this level of joblessness. Not with this cost of living. Not with this fragile economy.
The NDC and its foot soldiers must STOP playing with Ghana’s future. This country is bleeding. People are suffering. Promises are collapsing like dominoes.
We have three years left with this government, like it or not. We cannot vote again tomorrow. So the least we can do is demand seriousness, honesty and competence every single day.
PRINCIPLES MATTER. HONOUR MATTERS. GHANA MATTERS.
You do not campaign against buying a jet, only to buy a bigger one for luxury. That is not governance, that is deception.
You do not scream Ghana is poor, only to spend $60 million on airborne comfort. This is not politics as usual. This is insulting, disrespectful, and a complete betrayal of the national trust.
TIME IS UP, GET TO WORK. GHANAIANS ARE SUFFERING.
Fix the economy.
Post the nurses.
Employ the youth.
Bring down the cost of living.
Stop the hypocrisy.
Ghanaians didn’t vote for excuses.
They voted for solutions.
And the patience of the people is running out.
@asaaseradio995 This were some of the reasons some of our parents didn't allow our elder brothers and sisters in the zongos to attend school in the early days and we didn't understand but now it makes sense 😭😭😭
