Every journalist and politico should ask swing-seat Democrats whether they'd back Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker. He's a general election liability and they'll break from him easily.
Senate candidates across the spectrum are already saying no to Schumer. Same's coming for Hakeem.
Abdul El-Sayed is an epidemiologist, medical doctor, Rhodes Scholar, father, person of the community, and a fundamentally good guy...who epitomizes the huge difference between Democrats and a not well Republican party.
Hakeem Jeffries will never be weaker than he is in January 2027.
By Jan 2029 and every year after, he'll have more power and be harder to dislodge. Stop him from becoming Speaker now, and you hold that leverage forever against all future Speakers.
I used to think that Merrick Garland was the most useless human being in government until I considered @KenMartin73, @RepJeffries and @SenSchumer who are collectively leading Democrats down to defeat in a year when they should be sweeping Republicans in every state in the nation.
What are your thoughts about Hakeem Jeffries explaining why he met with Jared Kushner secretly?
I don't buy it because he's not an elected official.
He has no say-so on legislation.
Personally, I no longer support him as the next Speaker of the House. He's lost all credibility.
Billionaire Mark Cuban campaigned for Democratic U.S. Senate hopeful James Talarico to promote the candidate’s plan to break up healthcare monopolies.
Cuban, who launched his own low-cost online pharmacy in 2022, endorsed Talarico after the Democratic candidate agreed to back the bipartisan “Break Up Big Medicine Act” if elected.
“It is insane that one company can literally control the hospital where you pay to get care, the pharmacy where you pay for your medications, and the insurance company that decides how much you pay. It’s a racket, and these monopolies are—they are profiting off our pain,” Talarico said.
“If we can break up those big companies—the CVSes, the Uniteds, etc.,” Cuban said, “we literally could see the cost of pharmaceuticals and healthcare literally drop overnight 20, 30, 40 percent depending on where you live.”
WATCH: Here’s Jennifer Welch calling for Hakeem Jeffries to be replaced over secret backroom deals with Jared Kushner.
I completely agree with her? Wbu? ✋🏽
I’m behind a group that is organizing a shake up in the current leadership in the Democratic Party. Ken Martin, Chuck Schumer and Hakeem Jeffries all
must go. It is time to inject new leadership in the party. We have abundant talents in the likes of Jamie Raskin and Ro Khanna to take over the Speakership gavel when we retake the house. And senator Chris VanHollen among others who will be dynamic and super effective to take leadership of the senate. If you would like to enlist your support for this movement kindly respond to this message. Many Thanks.
Hakeem lied. His meeting with Jared was not about affordability. We are not kindergarteners. Hakeem, come clean please. We get lies from trump and republicans every hour. Man, don’t do that.
I hate to say this and this will make some people angry and upset with me but in my opinion!
I don’t think that Hakeem Jeffries should be the Speaker of the House if the Democrats win the House!
He’s so weak and not doing anything to fight Donald Trump!
He’s the AIPAC/Israel Do-Nothing Democrat who met with Donald Trump’s son-in-law Jared Kushner!
Him and Chuck Schumer are the Establishment Democrat who only care about Israel 🇮🇱 and AIPAC!
It’s time for him to GO including Chuck Schumer!
If you disagree with me on this, that’s fine but this is my opinion!
This guy looks more and more like he could do the Speaker job admirably. Constitutionalist and a true blue democrat. But first let’s win a democratic congress. Vote 💙🇺🇸
John McCain passed away today, nine years after his colleague and friend, Ted Kennedy, died of the same cancer. In life, they were on opposite sides of the political spectrum, but both shared a great respect for each other and a love of their country 🇺🇸
@JonFDanilowicz As DCM and at times Charge’D Affairs at the Bangladesh Embassy in Washington DC, High Commissioner Salahuddin Mahmud
