- Goats can be taught their name and to come when called.

- The West African dwarf goat is one of the most prolific animal on the planet. According to some source, there's no barren West African dwarf goat ever (both male & female)

Reason why some Nigerian cultures add a goat to a bride's marriage list - the goat signifies fertility for the bride.
