@dpeterson2069@joshweinfuss The director of Hard Knocks went on PHNX Sports after Benjamin got cut and said they had “shocking” video of an altercation that led to him getting released that would air in the next episode. Someone higher up prevented anything shocking from airing.
@DonniCorleon3@blakemurphy7 Why in the world would they trade Sweat? The guy has not said a word about being unhappy, he had the most sacks last year in the position group with the least depth, is in year two of a team friendly deal and the team has made no obvious tank moves.
@KenGardner11 Lost the popular vote in 2/3 elections, won against an unpopular incumbent promising voters everything they wanted to hear, then governs like an American Mussolini. MAGA base will excuse anything, everyone else has had it.
@BenGarciaShow Why in the world would they trade Sweat? The guy has not said a word about being unhappy, he had the most sacks last year in the position group with the least depth, is in year two of a team friendly deal and the team has made no obvious tank moves.
@JohnnyVenerable I think they went into the offseason liking Beck and Simpson and weren’t willing to fully commit to Willis or Garoppolo. Wasn’t it Gambo who reported Brissett as the starter? Has anyone else reported it? The team has never said it.
@YoungFocusBA The guy has been a QB at the highest level of college football for 6 years. There’s a pretty good argument to be made that he should be as mentally well prepared to start as anyone has ever been. If he looks good in camp and preseason, start him.
@pjcal_gr@esidery Weird that people who considered them a playoff contender before last season now say they’re the worst in the league. Think they’ll be as wrong this season as they were last. Also, wouldn’t Sweat ask for a trade if he wants one? Seems like the first step.
@Gambo987 Sweat is playing in the same defense under the same DC as last year and hasn’t said he’s unhappy. Practices are voluntary and he skipped the same practices last year. Isn’t there enough real stuff to be negative about this team without inventing new problems?
@ClancysCorner Brissett isn’t in their plans after ‘26, why reward him for holding out only to bench him for Beck after 4 games? Next year, a guy they actually care about might hold out and the team would have a reputation for capitulating.
@birdgangtravel Sweat is playing in the same defense under the same coordinator as last year. Why should we be concerned that he doesn’t show up for a voluntary practice?
@StickToTheModel They were the 15th rated defense the year before with less talent. Problems last year were about injuries and quitting when the season was lost.
@blakemurphy7 This Cardinals team with Kyler Murray and less talent overall was considered a playoff contender in the preseason last year. A big hypothetical, but if the QB play is average, the Cards should be legitimately good.
@MrAzSports Don’t really see the Cardinals having any problem with Brissett holding out. Means more reps for Beck and Minshew. If he’s not back for mandatory stuff he’ll start facing pretty serious financial penalties.
