@Thuvarahan18 manimegalai, the princess of kadambur (where adita dies). she takes the blame for adita's death in order to save vaidyathevan, who she's in love with. tbh, not that upset over her not being in it.
just sad they made the original madurantakan king. didn't think he earned it.
@muthuwu This take right here is IT! I really felt like for a film called Ponniyin Selvan, we never get enough backstory about him to actually root for him. He felt very one sided, as opposed to his character in the books.
@manojlds@muthuwu@nidhxxi At least his character arc had more substance in the book compared to Rahman's Maduranthakan in the movie. The latter ending up with the crown felt undeserved.
@yoneed2calmdown go in with no expectations and you'll enjoy it! the dialogue and comedy were low-key but well done. issues were the over the top action and senti flashbacks.
@xcsamixvi The fact that the filter used is making them seem even lighter + a good chunk of these actresses aren't even South Indian and/or don't work in the industry anymore 🤦🏾♀️
@Minaa_shi @Alexa_1414 But this isn't what you said in your initial comment. You said a wife has every right to be negative about the women in her husband's life. That kind of mentality is toxic in both real life and in a reality show.
@Minaa_shi @Alexa_1414 this is a very toxic way of thinking... you can hold your husband accountable and question him but some random girl you know very little about, doesn't owe you an explanation and you have no rights to speak badly about her either.
