Una Marson (1905–1965) was a pioneering Jamaican feminist, poet, playwright, journalist, and activist, best known as the first Black woman producer and broadcaster at the BBC.
Una lived in Peckham and our Una Marson library is named in her honour. This month, the library will be celebrating her life, work and legacy, to mark her birthday - which would have been today, 6 February.
The programme includes creative workshops, poetry, arts and crafts, music, and a film screening, with events for both children and adults.
All events are free to attend and take place at Una Marson Library. No booking required.
