@AvantiWestCoast Yeah. I just spoke to the train manager. Again, your company has shown absolutely no humanity towards customers, unless of course they are a football team taking over the whole of first class with plenty of room to spare while tons of people stand for hours.
@AvantiWestCoast I’m going to miss it because my current train is now delayed so much. Surely it is common sense to just let this train stop at Penrith. How hard can that be?
@AvantiWestCoast I did make it on. But now my connecting train has been cancelled. Can the 18:07 to Edinburgh stop at Penrith. Given the huge amount of disruption this seems like a useful and human move.
@AvantiWestCoast Also. How difficult would it be for this train to stop at Penrith. Adds five minutes to an already late train yet will save a lot of people over an hour.
@AvantiWestCoast Appalling behaviour as we tried to get on. Most carriages full to the brim yet your staff were blocking the doors to first class because of a football team. You really don’t care about your customers do you?

BREAKING: A huge win for #ClassDivide. The Schools Adjudicator has ruled Brighton's new admissions policy is "lawful, fair & non-discriminatory."
This is a victory for community-led change & political courage. It proves that working-class voices can change the system.

Erm, I wonder what the third series of the Class Divide podcast is going to be about - and because no-one wants to fund Class Divide's kind of system change/policy stuff, we will be launching a Go Fund Me soon. Hopefully people will be up for supporting.
In June, 600 residents called for a review into inequality in Brighton & Hove. Now the Council has agreed.
We welcome it - but it must ask tough questions of those in power, not just examine the lives of the poorest.

@BenStiller Love your photos. Been trying to work out how to get a copy of the book below to you. Designed and hand bound by my partner, thinking she could be your ideal book designer.
@AvantiWestCoast on the 16:30 from Euston to Glasgow. Another train with broken air con. Does your company have any concern for the welfare of its customers?
@Abbey90998905 @AvantiWestCoast Thanks for the detail. But my contract (ticket to ride) is with Avanti, and I expect them to manage their partnerships with leasing companies properly.
@AvantiWestCoast You and I both know this is pointless. I will get a stock answer, a suggestion it’s a one off, or the hot weather. We both know this is about private train companies profiteering, buying cheap components, and not spending enough on maintenance.
@AvantiWestCoast Hi. I know you are just doing your job. But it’s kind of insulting when you possibly know this is a long running issue that doesn’t just happen on hot days. I do this journey once or twice a month at all times of the year.
