Here’s a throwback from 1985—our 110th anniversary! 3rd-generation owner Harold Kester and his grandson, future 5th-generation owner Bill Anderson, are pulling a raffle winner from the basket. Fun fact: the raffle basket came from the Naper Theatre!

Back in 1885 W.W. Wickel offered everything from patent medicines to paints and oils. This ad from the Naperville Clarion showcases the beginnings of what would become Oswald’s Pharmacy. 140 years later, we’re still here—part of Naperville’s history and its future!

One of our favorite old slogans was “BEST DRUGS”—short and to the point! A favorite from Grandpa Oswald’s era. Here’s a great picture of the storefront from around the time this ad was printed: July 1916—109 years ago! We were a spry 41 years young back then.
