Good luck to anyone who takes this crap seriously. You already know this will be some goofy US State Department puff story that completely glossed over the real story - the CIA's systematic sabotage of Ghana and multiple attempts on Nkrumah's life culminating in the coup.
Its conclusion is 100% guaranteed to be "yeswespent9yearstryingtokillhimanddestroyhiscountryBUT nKruMah wAs a DiCtATor"
I just got an email from GSE saying I should not display any GSE stock data on my platform even with a WARNING leading to legal issues. I thought I was just sharing and helping investors analyze the Ghana stock market.
I can't display GSE data unless I pay GHS 40,000.00 per year or Global Fee: US$ 14,000.00 per year.
I've been preaching the Ghana Stock Exchange for many years. I built this with a good intention to help the Ghanaian retail investors research analyze Ghana stocks. I've spent thousands of USD in AI credits data analysis building this without generating anything. Subscriptions are used for AI research credits.
I respect their decision unfortunately, I need to hold on with GSE market (which is publicly available) till I make enough money to pay GHS 40K.
Please bear with me while I go through this process. I will do my best to find a solution to this. I'm just a normal finance & tech guy.

When is the last time you opened up VS Code?
Today, I finally removed it from my Mac dock. I wouldn't be surprised if it's fully uninstalled by end of year.

More people are of the view that law is becoming too prestigious and overshadowing all other professions. Friends of law says it is just envy.
I'm not going to join the fight from some pompous perch.
I want to talk about how the "average Ghanaian" sees this "prestige."
In Ghana, as almost everywhere, it is not the professors who sees most clearly how the society really feels.
For that, trust the comedians.
Allow me, then, to present to you, Lawyer Koomson, aka "mun kye no" (I.e. "arrest him/her".)
Lawyer Koomson is a "skit" character created by a formidable comic genius (Samuel Akowuah) who in bygone days could have rubbed shoulders with all-time greats like Waterproof, Super OD, Opia, Santo, Kohw3, Dr. Rokoto, Katawere, and Fred Addae.
So, how does Mun Kye No portray the legal profession?
1. Nose-poking. He goes around interfering with every matter! Why is the stew in your pot too thick? Mun kye no! Why didn't you put aboy in your hair? Mun kye no!
Insight: Law people in Ghana are too in our faces! Turn on every major talk-show and you will find that no matter the subject, they will find a way to make it about law.
2. Judge, Jury, Executioner. Though Lawyer Koomson presents himself as a lawyer, his main act is to order arrests! After pronouncing instant judgment.
Insight: That is how some of the more popular lawyers sound on our airwaves. Even when it is clear that they have done no research on an issue, expect them to pronounce conclusively.
3. Jargon. When he senses the least resistance, Lawyer Koomson deploys his sharpest weapon: Article! "Do you know article?" Two-thirds of the time, all defiance immediately collapses.
Insight: Regardless of context, Ghanaian lawyers will start speaking in legal-speak as if doing so confers special insight.
4. Intimidation. Sometimes Koomson, Esq, is compelled to follow up because the mention of "article" doesn't bamboozle the victim to submission. Come and see English! He will stir and pour word salad like no one's business and then move on.
Insight: Just like a "legal luminary" on Ghanaian TV about to lose an argument.
5. Oppression. Lawyer Koomson has never met his match (well, he has been wise enough to avoid Countryman Songo). Citizens gather around and murmur protests, but the hapless target is grabbed anyway, and all the complaints "don't go anywhere," as we say in Ghana.
Insight: Maybe here the skit stops being funny? The talk-show noise may irritate, but it’s nothing next to what people actually experience inside the legal system itself: the land case your grandfather started that your children may inherit, the adjournment after adjournment, and, oh, the unexplained absence of Judges on the next adjournment date. Yet, helplessness remains the default.
PS: Fans of the Kejetia Lawyer should spare us any wild comparisons! Lawyer Koomson is in his own league. Full stop!
PS2: Still, massive congratulations to all the new lawyers!
Honourable, this same week Google had to tell the world that attackers took over Ghana's .gh domain system and got real security certificates for Google sites. We still haven't heard a word from your ministry about that. Fighting the FBI over credit can wait. Tell Ghanaians what happened to our own domain first.
In an age dominated by technology, in which efficiency and profit often take precedence, it is so important that we continue to cultivate a spirit of contemplation and allow time and space for beauty. Such an attitude will greatly help humanity, especially young people, to discover the ability of art to uplift and reveal the depths of the human spirit and our openness to the divine. Contemplation presents a marvelous opportunity to encounter the God who is Beauty.

We play CODM, FC 26, eFootball and so many other amazing games and we love them. But let’s be honest… how often do we get to say, “This game was made by one of us?”
Konk is different. 🇬🇭❤️
It’s being developed by a Ghanaian, but more than that, it feels like someone is bringing back to life the kind of games and experiences that made us happy as kids.
And bro, this game actually has the features we expect from modern games. Leaderboards, customisation, multi-player,in game chat, competitive features and so much more. This isn't just some random game being made in Africa. There’s real potential here.
We’re always asking for Africa to be represented in the gaming industry. Well, this is one of those moments where we can actually play our part.
Let’s support our own. 🇬🇭🌍

It might seem small, but if enough of us do it, it can go a LONG way.
Imagine years from now looking back and saying, “I was there when this started.”
Let’s give Konk the support it deserves and show the world that Africa belongs in the gaming space too. 🎮❤️🌍
This is ours. Let’s make sure it succeeds. 🇬🇭🔥
