It feels like models are getting configured to be more expensive yet dumber. I can tell, as of August 6, something became off in Opus 5. And now GPT Image is ruining faces.

@dremnik I really get the motivation behind this, but in a lot of cases what one pays for is product maintenance, consistency, adaptation, etc. Unless one has about $5k to spare a month on letting LLMs maintain all the free alternatives they’ve built, it’s cheaper to get the paid service.
