I’m getting a real 2008 vibe.

When Obama won you could feel this insane collective sigh of relief.

Everyone was happy. America was dancing in the streets for weeks.

If Kamala wins, #MAGA/#MapleMAGA in North America will slowly get picked apart. You’ll see the inner workings and connectivity of foreign cooperation and interference into US/Canadian elections. If it’s a landslide, the mandate to crush foreign interference in North American democracies will be full throated.

The US election stands to be the death of the right wing/religious extremism, and foreign interference by bad actors who have spent decades and billions for this very moment. Russia, China, India are counting on a Trump/MAGA presidency.

As is the Conservative Party of Canada who absolutely share content/talking points and strategies with foreign political affiliates, foreign and like minded.

A Kamala presidency wouldn’t just be the death of #MAGA. It would be the beginning of the end of #MapleMAGA, too.

This is a global election. Democracy vs fascist authoritarianism. If democracy wins, that collective sigh of relief will be something else.
