Three years after the release of the hit indie RPG Sea of Stars, Sabotage Studio has released the game’s final update and confirmed that support for the game is now complete.

Creative director Thierry Boulanger revealed that the studio has been working on its next game, currently called Project Sparrow, for the past 18 months.

“All I can tell you now is that it’s known as Project Sparrow, and we’ve been slowly working on it for those eighteen months,”

Boulanger also confirmed that the new game will be set in the same universe as The Messenger and Sea of Stars.

“It’s in the same universe,”

A Path of Exile 2 player willingly deleted their level 100 character so everyone else in the league could get a buff.

The new “Martyr of the First Edict” mechanic lets the first player to hit level 100 sacrifice their character, permanently deleting it in exchange for giving every other player an extra passive skill point.

Streamer cArn was one of the first to do it, deleting his fully geared level 100 Titan.
His character is gone, but it is now permanently remembered on the league ladder as a “Martyr of the First Edict.”

Players are calling it one of the coolest additions to Path of Exile 2.

The expansion launches on October 9, 2026.
