The memorandum by LSK to the Inspector General of Police demands justice: a high-level multi-agency team, including the DCI, must immediately investigate the deaths of Advocates Edward Muthee Kariuki and Esther Wairimu Keige.
Kenyans deserve answers on the causes, perpetrators, and anyone who orchestrated these crimes.

Benjamin Zulu: Those who want marriage, I wish you well but I don't want women to put marriage before their own survival. You won't die for lack of a man but you can die for lack of money. Get money!

Hard to stop. Easy to listen to. Diligent. Well-read. Brilliant mind in a commanding presence. When Bellinda Akoth Akello switched to Swahili mid-interview, even the CJ didn’t see it coming. 4 degrees. ELC experience. Land justice champion. Real beauty with brains. JSC—pick her!
On this special day as we celebrate the impact of women in society, I extend heartfelt congratulations to two Kenyan leaders whose remarkable success has earned them appointments to the leadership of key regional and global institutions. Congratulations to Hon. Lady Justice Ann Amadi on her appointment as Judge of the @EACJCourt, and Hon. Monica Juma (@AmbMonicaJuma) on being named the new ED of the @UNODC. These achievements are symbolic of two impactful careers and are an encouragement of the potential of Kenyan women to break through the global glass ceiling. Serve well, Ladies.
I also express special congratulations to Mr. Chris Diaz @DiazChrisAfrica and Mr. Kiprono Kittony @KipronoKittony on their appointments as Member and Chair of the @KenyaAirways Board of Directors respectively. We are optimistic that your leadership will reshape the fate of Kenya's national carrier.
As part of the leadership in Nairobi, you will hear no excuses from me. Yesterday’s flood situation was an indictment. We know it’s a sum total of many failures but mostly failures of leadership. We must do better because you don’t deserve this. For all those who slept on the roads, those counting loses from the flood damage poleni sana. Sadly, the County disaster team has confirmed to me that multiple lives were also lost. My office has sent out teams to assess the situation and see how we can help. Meanwhile, It is obvious that we need a comprehensive review of how the city drains because the piecemeal interventions are not working. I extend my deepest condolences to the families who lost their loved ones last night. Poleni sana.
We look forward to seeing the applicants for the position of Judge of the Supreme Court, and are hopeful that the JSC's recruitment mandate will not suffer the same hindrances encountered in efforts to discipline Judges. May the process end with a worthy Judge joining the apex court.
A shujaa has fallen, but the dream endures.
This Mashujaa Day, we remember Raila Odinga, a man who embodied courage and never lost faith in Kenya.
His journey with Mama Ida reminds us that sacrifice is both public and deeply personal.
As his comrade, I pledge to uphold the struggle for a better Kenya, where the constitution is held true, the human rights upheld in it are respected and its democratic promise is realized.
True tribute lies in our actions, not just our words.

Raila Odinga was a true champion of democracy. A child of independence, he endured decades of struggle and sacrifice for the broader cause of freedom and self-governance in Kenya. Time and again, I personally saw him put the interests of his country ahead of his own ambitions. Like few other leaders anywhere, he was willing to choose the path of peaceful reconciliation without compromising his core values. Through his life, Raila Odinga set an example not just for Kenyans, but across Africa and around the world. I know he will be missed. Michelle and I send our deepest condolences to his family and to the people of Kenya.
I am shocked to learn of the demise of former Prime Minister Rt. Hon. Raila Amolo Odinga, a patriot, a pan-Africanist, a democrat and a leader who made significant contributions to democracy in Kenya and in Africa.
Kenya has lost one of its most formidable leaders who shaped the trajectory of our beloved country. Africa has lost a leading voice in pushing for peace, security and development. The world has lost a great leader.
During these difficult times, I pass my deepest condolences to Mama Ida Odinga and the entire Odinga family, to the people of Kibra Constituency , who he represented for many years, to the people of Siaya County, where he hails from and to all of us Kenyans.
May the Lord comfort us all as we deal with this enormous blow.
