I’m asking this because of what just happened with Arbitrum.

The Arbitrum Security Council recently took emergency action to freeze 30,766 ETH linked to the KelpDAO exploit. While the move was meant to protect the community and "save" the funds, it raises a massive red flag about the reality of decentralization.

Here is the reality check:

If a "Security Council" can identify a specific address, override the rules, and move funds to a frozen wallet even if it's a hacker's address it means the system has a "backdoor" or a central point of control.

The Dilemma:

Safety: We want hackers to be stopped and funds to be recovered.

Sovereignty: The whole point of crypto is "Not your keys, not your coins." If someone else can move your funds without your permission, are they really your coins?

Arbitrum’s move proves that many Layer 2s are still in the "training wheels" phase. They are "decentralized" until things go wrong, then the human intervention kicks in.
What do you think? Is this level of control necessary for mass adoption .

The @yearnfi hacker used hash-based address checks (not direct address comparisons) to prevent their exploit from being front-run or copied by MEV bots or otherplayers. This was a lesson learned from the Balancer hack,whers others observed and replay, their exploit transaction.

1,310,054.82675 MON was diverted by the hacker into one wallet. The claim portal was vulnerable to session hijacking . We tried to report the bug with @evilcos to monad team but without success. @privy_io @monad @Onefly
