⚽FIFA WORLD CUP TRAFFIC IMPACTS⚠️
Expect delays around L.A. (SoFi) Stadium in Inglewood for #FIFAWorldCup2026 match at 6PM. Plan alternate routes if you’re traveling near the area. If you’re headed to the match, explore public transportation via Metro https://t.co/0cR3Swfljw
Week 4: Speeding & Reckless Driving
Speeding might feel like it's saving you time, but it costs far more in risk. Did you know that nearly 30% of traffic deaths involve speeding? On top of that, crashing at 60 mph has double the force of crashing at 40 mph.

As the temperature rises, you may notice changes to your vehicle. Before you go, make sure you check the A/C, belts, and hoses. Your A/C works harder to keep your vehicle cool on hot summer days. Rubber belts and hoses can degrade from the heat and may need to be replaced.
The foundation of traffic safety is built on teamwork and strong, dedicated partnerships. 🛣️🚔
Administrator Morrison spoke at the California Office of Traffic Safety Law Enforcement Forum about this Administration's reengagement with law enforcement and support for vigorous traffic enforcement. He also participated in a Drug Recognition Expert awards ceremony.
More than 1,000 kids have died from vehicular heatstroke over the past 29 years. 💔

School’s out, and we know what that means… more kids out riding their bikes. We love seeing it. We just want to make sure it’s all done safely and within the boundaries of the law.
With that in mind, this spring the Placer County Sheriff’s Office conducted a two-day E-Bike and E-Motorcycle Enhanced Enforcement focused on education, safety, and compliance with California traffic laws.
Over the course of the operation:
▪️ 104 rider contacts were made
▪️ Numerous citations were issued for traffic violations and obstructing/resisting officers
▪️ Several unlicensed riders were identified, including minors operating e-motorcycles on public roadways without a valid license
▪️ Common violations included stop sign violations, speeding, registration issues, and unlicensed driving
Not every contact resulted in enforcement action, many were opportunities to educate riders and families about the laws that help keep everyone safe.
As summer gets underway, our deputies will continue to be out on the roadways helping ensure a safe environment. We encourage everyone to know the rules, wear proper safety gear, and ride responsibly.
