Kids enjoyed Take Your Parent to PE day today. Thanks for all the parents that were able to come out, we hope you had a good time. Just remember to get a good stretching afterwards, because none of us are as young as we used to be. 🤣 @PERocks2

A great day of hiking and nature at Turkey Run today. Nothing beats hiking, grilling out, learning about some native Indiana animals, and spending time with friends and family. It was a great day full of fun! The kids should sleep well tonight, I know the chaperones and I will.

We are off for our annual Turkey Run field trip. The kids were excited when they walked out the door and saw the charter buses. It will definitely make the hour and a half bus ride a lot more enjoyable! Perfect weather for a great day of outdoor fun!

The day has finally arrived! The fences came down on the new playground! The kids have been waiting with anticipation since day one. They were thrilled and wanted to do nothing but play outside all afternoon. After about 25 years, it is nice to have a change in scenery out there!

Introduced the kids to the “Morning Mile” today. A great way to start our morning by getting fresh air, time to socialize, get the blood pumping, and use some energy to maximize focus.

The kids enjoyed our visiting author, Troy Cummings today. He showed the kids how much fun being an author and illustrator can be by using their imagination. It was a lot of fun hearing Tristan oink like a pig and will dance like a monster. Thanks to @overdorfj for organizing it!

Celebrating the end of the week with our new class tradition, Karaoke Friday. Mrs. D stopped by to tackle Mariah Carey to kick the weekend off. A month late, but the kids didn’t seem to mind. (well …. most of them anyways) It has quickly become a not to be missed weekly event.

We held our elections for class governor and Lt. Governor today. The kids did a nice job of presenting their speeches to the class laying out their vision if they were elected. Congratulations to Alison and Taylor for their hard fought/close victory! Now the work begins!

The kids walked into a whole new classroom environment today with brand new furniture, courtesy @BestHomeFurn. They were so excited! We wanted to thank Stuart Curtis and the Lange family for donating the new furniture. We promised to put it to good use for many years to come.

I hope everyone had a great holiday! On the last day before break we got rid of the furniture that has served us well for the last 7 to 8 years. The room is so empty. Will the kids be sitting on the floor or bringing back desks? We will find out when they return on Wednesday!

Everyone had a great time on the last day of school before break. Finished gingerbread houses, had an all school sing-along, and ended the day with our party. Now it is time for some much rest and family time! Thanks to everyone that helped make today special for the kids!

Outstanding job today at our famous Hoosier Wax Museum! It is always a fun way to bring history to life for the kids. Great to see their creativity with costumes/props, and hear all the great information they learn. Even after 22 years, the kids teach me a fact that I never knew.

The kids started their math gingerbread projects today. Some are on the path to success while others are learning through the trial and error process. I am excited to see the final products on Friday. Don’t forget that tomorrow is our.Famous Hoosier Wax Museum from 8:30 to 9:30.

Westfield girls placed 10th at the State finals with 291 points! Liz Smith places 27th in 18:25 as the Rocks first finisher! Another great day to be a Westfield Shamrock! #wgxc23 #SISU #state

No better way to spend a daddy/daughter day together. Great to finally be back to see, hear, and smell the sights and sounds of the Indy 500. We missed the tradition! My 35th race and my daughter’s 5th. One of the greatest days of the year! #Indy500 @Indycar

Back on top with a victory in the annual fourth grade Tug of War competition. The kids did a great job of working together as a team to win both matches and take home the championship. Proud of them! Thanks @PERocks2 for a great day the kids will remember for a long time.
