Mark Saturday 4-23, 2:00 PM in Cowan Hall for our Spring choirs concert. Included: Concert Choir, Otterbein Singers, Opus One, Cardinal Singers (SSA), and Vox Otterbein (TTB), performing new works by Libby Larsen and Jocelyn Hagen to pop favorites by Harry Styles and Elton John.
Concert Choir is learning "Look To This Day," a new piece that Libby Larsen composed for them. Last week they performed for Dr. Larsen over Zoom, learning more about the work and goals for its premiere next week. CC will perform the world premiere of this work April 4, 7:30 P.M.

So far, Concert Choir has performed 4 times since we started our tour this past Saturday. Tomorrow we perform two concerts at Rocky River High School in the afternoon, and an evening concert at St. Paschal Baylon Catholic Church at 6:30 P.M. Here are some photos!

We are in week 4 of Otterbein's spring semester! Concert choir is working on learning sign language to accompany our performance of Ain't No Grave Can Hold My Body Down. Join us February 20th at 7:00 P.M. to hear this and other works by CC, CS, VO, and OS.
Last Sunday night, the #Otterbein Concert Choir performed a holiday concert at the Westerville Community United Church of Christ (replay: https://t.co/ev23Q93Fgw). Over $1000 was collected for Westerville Area Resource Ministry. This will help feed 222 people for a week!

Saturday November 10th, Gayle Walker, Head of Choral Activities at Otterbein University, worked with students of OMEA District X as the clinician for the High School Honor Choir. The students spent the day rehearsing and performed for the public, friends, and family!
This past Wednesday was the 7th annual Otterbein University High School Honor Choir. Many thanks to the 87 high school singers, from 11 different Ohio schools, who participated! The students spent a focused day rehearsing together and then performed a beautiful evening concert.
Otterbein University Choral Department is excited to host the annual Honor Choir tomorrow! Students from many high schools take part in rehearsals culminating in an evening performance. At 12:30 Otterbein will perform a concert for these students in Cowan Hall. Open to Public!

Concert Choir applies Dalcroze to Flight Song by Kim André Arnesen, which they will perform this Sunday at Church of the Messiah’s 11:00 A.M. service. Dalcroze unlocks a more expressive performance by stretching phrases, creating gradual dynamics, and feeling music in the body.
We are ecstatic to sing together again. It has warmed our hearts to be together in the same room rehearsing! Something special happens when people get together to sing that is almost impossible to describe. Looking forward to a great year of learning, growth, and music!

Spring Sing auditions are tomorrow in Battelle from 6-8! All you need is some sheet music and one minute of the song you’d like to do! The sign up sheet is on the bulletin board in Battelle. Dust off your best Demi Lovato or Dear Evan Hansen audition!
