Just the title of Laurie Moore’s essay “It’s Better to Write Than Be a Writer“ is all I need to get jazzed and for some deeper awareness to be awakened inside me. Maybe I would change it to “it’s better to be 𝒘𝒓𝒊𝒕𝒊𝒏𝒈 than to be a writer.” Same sense though.

In some ways this philosophy if you think about it is exactly Schopenhauer's "World as Will and Idea." Die Welt als Wille und Vorstellung, which really is mistranslated into English. Really it's World as Energy and Image—which is ironic because that's the exact dichotomy as....
