This is such an insightful video! I had never thought about the harm schools could be bringing upon their students by having surveillance systems on their computers.

This is a great question! I feel that children have the capacity and ability to learn and understand the long-term effects of social media, however I don't believe that they are being told of these effects and we should be teaching them now for their benefit.
This is a great point in regards to TikTok in the classroom! Telling students they are simply never allowed to use these things wont stop them from using them. Explaining the dangers AND the positives can help to engage the students in teaching them to use technology safely.

Such as setting limits to what the school computer gives them access to so that they only use it for educational/beneficial purposes.
