Pats FB to noliegs, bet tas notiks līmenī, ko nevari izkontrolēt. Tikai konstatēsi, ka pēkšņi samazinājusies auditorija. Kremlini izmanto Facebook vadlīnijas, kā ieročus.
This thought has been troubling me for a long time. If we recall the relatively recent past, the first half of the 20th century, the United States was then a great power that could fight and win an extraordinarily complex war against Japan.
It was able to provide decisive help to Britain against Nazi Germany, and it was then almost the leading force in the struggle against the Nazi Axis: in Africa, in the Mediterranean, and on D-Day, the largest amphibious operation in world history. In addition, the United States helped the USSR, through Lend-Lease, to hold out at its most critical moment, thereby saving it from what seemed almost certain collapse. Nor should we forget the postwar achievements: the Marshall Plan and the rescue of West Berlin from Stalin’s blockade.
All of this can be judged in different ways, but no one, not even the harshest critic, will deny that these were extraordinarily complex, impressive, and decisive victories on every continent.
What is happening today? Yes, but what is happening today? The president of the free and mighty United States cannot cope with backward regimes and psychopaths who, together with their gangs, have seized power in the Kremlin, Iran, Yemen, and North Korea.
Today, the once-mighty United States has sunk to the role of a supplicant before Communist China and the Kremlin’s Chekist regimes. How could this have happened?
#OnThisDay 1940 #Catalonia's President #Companys was put before a firing squad having been tried by a kangaroo court, the only democratically-elected head of govt. to have been executed by #Spain's fascists who had seized power after a military uprising and the ensuing civil war.
⬛️⬜️ #OnThisDay in 2019, Spain's Supreme Court sentenced 12 Catalan leaders to up to 13 years in prison for their role in the 2017 #indyref.
Thousands took to the streets and occupied Barcelona's airport. Nine years after the vote, the anger remains, and so does the memory.
⬛️⬜️ Nine years after 1 October 2017, justice for Roger Español remains a matter of human rights and state accountability.
The right to peaceful assembly must be protected, and police violence must not go unpunished.
The world is watching.
EU should be shocked that Spain's "national" day serves to honour Legión Española, a army corps with a disgraceful past of mass executions of unarmed civilians with one regiment still bearing name of fascist assassin Millan Astray. @amnesty@hrw
⬛️⬜️ This week, @assemblea took part in the @OSCE Warsaw Human Dimension Conference to denounce threats to media freedom, restrictions on political dissent, and the criminalisation of Catalonia’s pro-independence movement in Spain.

I avui som al 2026.
No he dit mai això enlloc.
@Philblakeway Am I to understand that you are threatening me?
We know full well that Spain is an ally of Russia, as Spain allowed Russian submarines and a military spy ship into its port of Ceuta. And that happened after Russia had already attacked Ukraine.
Trump promised to make America great again. OK. Now he says diesel prices are crushing American farmers. And the mighty USA is buying diesel from Putin’s Russia. Would someone please explain how this could have happened?
Now we will see how many of the world leaders who only recently posed with Ukrainian President @ZelenskyyUa, polishing their publicity and ratings, will be able to defend him against Trump’s unfair insults.
