People say you should choose a branch based on passion and interest, but your mental and physical peace are far more important.

Please make up your mind completely before joining.

I have seen people leave their branches within just 3–4 months and start preparing for NEET PG all over again.

You may not get enough time to sleep, eat or even bathe.

You might be suffering from severe menstrual cramps and still not get even half an hour of rest.

You will face humiliation and may feel like you are dying inside every single day.

OBGYN has one of the highest dropout rates. I know many colleges where 1–2 seats go vacant every year because residents leave.

In Orthopaedics, physical torture is reported in many colleges.

Residents aren’t allowed to go to hostel for 6–8 months.

You practically live in the department DDR~eat there, sleep there, even keep your suitcase there.

You may develop leg swelling or cellulitis and still have to continue working.

Suicidal thoughts can creep in.

These branches can take a serious toll on mental health, and reports of suicides among residents are deeply concerning.

Even in private colleges, residents pay penalties approaching ₹1 crore to leave their seats.

Passion and interest matter, but never at the cost of your mental and physical health.

@MadhuRanadev Any injury arnd d ankle (be it a simple sprain or any fracture ) is quite tricky to say d least ! The time to recovery, the advises to follow, etc become a bit more stringent ! Ankle & elbow are very unforgiving ! The margin of error is 2 small !

Though the intent behind this order is good, I am afraid that this will lead to increased costs of healthcare, especially in private where the cost of treatment is already high, as most private hospitals reuse but don't charge except for sterilization costs!
Now, while, under the guise of this law, high-end private and corporate will stop using the resuable items and make more profit on new items, while govt hospitals will continue to use the same products by resterilizing, as there is zero scrutiny over the same!

One of the reasons for high Procedure Cost in West is that a "Use & Throw" policy for expensive angio catheters, staplers and other consumables etc.

In India, the cost gets subsidised over more number of patient's. Today we have Etio and Plasma Sterilization Techniques with which thess devices become very safe to reuse.

Reuse of Surgical instruments after Autoclaving/ Etio Sterilization has been happening for always and very safely. So, its not that the process of reuse and Sterilization is new or being given up totally.

Single use will force hospitals to raise Package Costs. If Insurance will not cover, people will have to pay out of pocket. Someone will bear the Cost. Then there will be an uproar over charges !!

Of course, it suits Medical Devices company because for them it means more sales, more profits.

It will not affect Doctors because they dont decide pricing of disposables/ consumables in Hospitals. Hospitals will definitely increase prices.

Now it is between Patient and Insurance Companies to decide who will pay up for "Use & Throw" policy.
