Truth is preached, not discovered by logic. We must humbly receive the gospel of Jesus Christ by faith. Reason follows and affirms truth. "I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father but by Me." John 14:6
@Phil_Johnson_ Love you brother. Thanks for your ministry. I still hear your warm intro voice when I think of GTY sermons I have heard. May the Lord be with you.
The Shema Jewish prayer "Hear, O Israel: the Lord is our God, the Lord is One." Deut. 6:4-5 The Lord is One. Scripture speaks of the Father, Jesus, and the Holy Spirit as God. Since God is One, that is a problem for every faith to solve. There cannot be 3 gods. The Trinity is the solution that honors 1 God and recognizes Father, Son, Holy Spirit as 3 eternally distinct persons.
@Acts17David Sorry David, can't now I am at work. But I have prayed for the Lord to raise a spirit of righteousness in the UK and bring the evildoers to ruin and/or repentance.
So if you encounter a religion that tells you something CONTRARY to God's Word, would you look for a feeling to justify that religion is true? No. You would reject it on the merits of the fact it is false. Following your "heart" is how Adam & Eve ate the fruit and how many go to Hell.
@GiffLasta Wasn't me. But I did just read it and found some valuable insights. I want to get some other men in my church to read and have a discussion about it.
@AlpacaAurelius Lowlands. All upstream water pollution heads that direction. Look at a map of Oklahoma for example. SE OK has higher levels of birth defects and lower life expectancy.
@mesitariuswoods Ghoulash and cornbread. A pot of pinto beans with ham chunks and cornbread. For breakfast omelette with sausage, mushrooms, and cheese served with fluffy biscuits with butter and strawberry jam.
