Ibn Al Qayyim - May Allah have mercy on him - said:
“And His decree and predestination (qadāʾ and qadar) are free from absurdity, injustice, and wrong, and from any notion that they could occur contrary to the most perfect wisdom.
Simple words that are easy to recite daily.

Sheikh Abu Abdur Rahman ibn Aqīl Al-Dhāhirī حفظه الله mentioned an incident that occurred between him and Sheikh Ibn Bāz رحمه الله.
At the time, as a Dhāhirī Fiqh he adopted the view that listening to singing was permissible, and he used to write about it and some singers in some newspapers.
Ibn Aqīl says: “I was visiting the Sheikh, and when I greeted him and he recognized me, he immediately advised me to stop doing that, and that this was something that was not appropriate for you. I tried to put forward my opinion and some of my arguments, but he mentioned his argument for the prohibition of singing. May God have mercy on him, he spoke with sincere and passionate emotion in advising me.
After the meeting ended, I went to bid him farewell, kissed his head and said to him: “Sheikh Abdul Aziz, I want to leave this, and I promise you that I will not write about singing and singers, male and female.” The face of the Sheikh, may God have mercy on him, lit up and he said: “May God bless you... May God bless you.” His tears and sobs raced him with joy at what I had said.”
Ibn Aqīl, praising Sheikh Ibn Bāz, says: “May God have mercy on him, he loved goodness and guidance for people and was happy with that.
