THREE PIECE DESIGN｜English Rev.1
— Turn three selected pieces into one complete artwork —

Use the attached image as the highest-priority visual reference for the person, character, or subject.

In this work, the most important priority order is:

THREE PIECES
↓
the role design of each piece
↓
the connection to the character
↓
form, pattern, and space
↓
the composition of the entire image
Do not simply apply a three-color filter to the original image.
Do not mechanically assign one piece to the background, one to the character, and one to the accents.
Instead, integrate:
three pieces × character × form × pattern × space
into one cohesive visual system,
so that the final result feels like:
“the three pieces themselves are building the artwork.”
Create one finished, high-quality graphic artwork.

FORM LANGUAGE

stripes
paper-cut style

block forms

line-based
repeated patterns
typographic composition
abstract construction

Delete unused options.
If only one option remains, prioritize it.
If multiple options remain, choose the most suitable one.
If left blank, decide automatically.
The “form language” may combine up to two compatible options when appropriate.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【THE THREE PIECES｜ABSOLUTE RULE】
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

The artwork may use ONLY these three selected pieces:

PIECE 1
PIECE 2
PIECE 3

These three pieces must remain exactly as specified.

Strictly prohibited:

adding a fourth visible color

automatically adding white
automatically adding black
automatically adding gray

keeping the character’s original skin color

keeping the original hair color
keeping the original clothing colors
making lighter versions

making darker versions

changing saturation

creating intermediate tones
blending colors
gradients
soft transitions
transparency that creates a new apparent color
lighting or shadow that introduces a new color
Everything in the image must obey the same three-piece restriction, including:
background,
character,
skin,
hair,
eyes,
clothing,
accessories,
patterns,
decorative elements,
and shadows.
Every visible area must belong to one of the three selected pieces.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【DO NOT JUST COLOR IT — DESIGN IT】
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The main subject is NOT:
“a character with three colors applied.”
The main subject is:
“the design of the three pieces themselves.”

For each piece, carefully design:

area
position
density
shape
boundaries
repetition
negative space
front/back relationship
visual emphasis
connection to the character

Each piece should carry:

rhythm,
tension,
calmness,
contrast,
airiness,
surprise,
and beauty.
Do not treat the three pieces as simple paint fills.
Treat them as compositional and structural forces.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

【DO NOT FIX THE ROLE OF EACH PIECE】

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Do NOT always assign:

PIECE 1 = background
PIECE 2 = character
PIECE 3 = accent

Avoid fixed or predictable systems.
Prohibited:
always using the same piece for the background
always using the brightest piece as the accent
reducing the character to one flat piece only
making the background only one piece and the character the other two
mechanically repeating a 60:30:10 ratio
forcing equal usage of all three pieces
distributing the three pieces in a simplistic or formulaic way
Instead, you may:

let one piece dominate boldly

let two pieces strongly compete
use all three in near balance
use one piece only sparingly
reverse the role of the pieces between character and background
shift the function of a piece inside different parts of the composition
contrast large flat areas with very small areas
Design the relationship between the three pieces differently for every artwork.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

【THINK OF THE PIECES AS ROLES】

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The three pieces are not just a palette.
Each piece may function as:

lead element

structure
negative space
outline

visual guide

quiet zone

impact zone
rhythm
division
accent
These roles may change across the artwork.
For example, one piece may act as:
the main facial contrast in one area

negative space in the background

a thin structural line in the clothing
Allow the function of each piece to shift according to the needs of the composition.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【DO NOT DEPEND ON INTERMEDIATE TONES】
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Do not create depth by inventing new colors.
Instead, build depth through:

difference in area

overlap
contour
pattern density

line thickness

empty space

perspective
scale contrast
foreground / midground / background separation
silhouette clarity
If shadow is needed, use one of the three selected pieces.
If highlight is needed, use one of the three selected pieces.
Dimensionality must come from structure, not extra tones.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【CONNECTION TO THE CHARACTER】
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Do not make the character and the three-piece design feel pasted together.

Shapes, surfaces, and graphic structures may:

pass behind the character
come in front of the character
connect with the flow of the hair

connect with clothing lines

connect with hand movement
connect with ears, tails, accessories, or signature motifs
extend in the direction of the gaze

follow the motion of the body

connect with architectural or environmental elements

emerge from the character’s silhouette
However, do not carelessly lose:
the face
the eyes
the key expression
the defining identity traits
The character must remain recognizable.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【TRANSLATE THE CHARACTER INTO THREE PIECES】
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Do not preserve the original colors literally.

Instead, translate the character into a recognizable form using only the three selected pieces.

For example:

preserve the hairstyle through silhouette rather than original color
preserve the eyes through shape and contrast rather than natural coloration
preserve the clothing through structure rather than original palette

preserve accessories through placement and outline rather than exact color

Even if the original colors disappear completely, the character should still be clearly identifiable.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【DESIGN MOOD】
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The selected design mood must influence not only the background, but also:
shape language
spacing
rhythm
contrast
composition
scale

pattern behavior

overall atmosphere
Soft and cute
Rounded forms.
Lightness.
Playfulness.
Gentle rhythm.
Friendly visual flow.
Generous breathing space.
Do not make it childish or overly simplistic.

Luxury brand style

Quiet strength.
Elegance.
Refinement.
Strong spacing.
Beautiful proportion.
Fashion sensibility.
Do not reduce luxury to a cliché black-and-gold look.
Bold and contemporary

Large bold areas.
Unexpected divisions.
Dynamic cropping.
Contemporary editorial energy.
Strong social-media stopping power.

Do not make it look like cheap clickbait or a thumbnail.

Dark and dreamy

Mystery.
Silence.
Symbolism.
Strong silhouette.
Otherworldly mood.
Controlled darkness.
Do not rely on glow or gradient-heavy fantasy effects.
Minimal and refined
Reduce elements.
Use space effectively.
Use structure effectively.
Let shapes carry the image.

Do not reduce it to flat emptiness.

Editorial / advertising style
Fashion magazine energy.
Campaign visual sophistication.
Poster-level art direction.
The character and the three-piece system should feel like one polished visual statement.

Retro pop

Bold flat forms.
Repetition.
Print-like rhythm.
Halftone logic.
Simplified silhouettes.
Poster energy.
Do not imitate any specific preexisting work.
Futuristic / experimental
Unexpected form systems.
Sharp divisions.
Unusual negative space.
Inventive cropping.
Surprising visual architecture.
Do not depend on neon glow tricks.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【FORM LANGUAGE】
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Form language is not just a decorative afterthought.
It is the structural method by which the three pieces become an artwork.
Geometric
Circles, triangles, rectangles, arches, polygons, divided planes.
Organic curves
Flowing lines, liquid shapes, natural forms, body-linked curves.
Dots / halftone

Patterned dots and print-inspired textures.

Do not use micro-dots to fake a fourth color.
Stripes
Vertical, horizontal, diagonal, or curved directional systems.
Paper-cut style
Sharp boundaries, cut-out flat planes, bold silhouette-based layering.
Silhouette-based
Use the character’s overall shape as a major visual driver.

Block forms

Large bold surfaces and strong planar divisions.
Line-based
Contours, long lines, arcs, trajectories, skeletal structures.
Repeated patterns
Build repeated motifs from the character’s features, accessories, clothing symbols, ears, flowers, stars, or other signature details.
Typographic composition

Even without actual text, use visual logic inspired by typography:
scale, spacing, alignment, interruption, rhythm.

Abstract construction
Invent new visual forms not tied to a literal object.
Auto
Choose the most suitable structural language based on the character and the three selected pieces.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【THINK OF THE PIECES AS VISUAL OBJECTS】
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Each of the three pieces is not just a color.

Each piece is also a visual object.
For every piece, consider:
where it should become dominant
where it should become quiet
where it should expand

where it should become thin

where it should create negative space
where it should generate movement
where it should connect to the character
where it should collide with another piece

Do not merely separate colors.

Let composition emerge from the three pieces themselves.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【DO NOT CLUMP THE THREE PIECES】
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Do not divide the image into three simplistic chunks.
Avoid:
one-color background plus two-color character treatment only

simple vertical three-part division

simple horizontal three-part division
three equal-sized color zones
reducing the character to one flat silhouette only
using one piece only as an outline
Instead, allow the pieces to:
disperse

overlap

intersect
stretch
compress

tilt

slice

frame
carve out space

repeat
exit the frame

enter the character
expand outward from the character

The three-piece system should spread across the entire image.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【COMPOSITION】

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Do not always place the character large and centered.

Possible composition strategies include:
bold close-up

extreme distance
strong left/right bias

large negative space
diagonal composition

top/bottom division
partial frame break

profile view
low angle
bird’s-eye view

the character surrounded by planes
the character breaking through planes

forms extending beyond the frame
repeated structures guiding the eye

Each artwork should have one clear dominant compositional idea.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【PIECES × CHARACTER × SPACE】

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Construct the image in layered depth through:

background,
character,
planes,
patterns,
and foreground elements.

Do not place everything on the same flat level.
In one area, a piece may function as background.
In another, it may function as part of the character.
In another, it may move into the foreground.
In another, it may become a contour or a silent open field.
Let the role of the pieces shift throughout the image.
Create a visual circulation such that the eye moves:
character
↓
piece
↓
shape
↓
character

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

【PROTECT THE CHARACTER】

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Preserve the identity of the attached subject as much as possible.
Maintain, when possible:

face

hairstyle

hair silhouette
eye shape
body proportions
clothing identity
accessories
signature motifs

gender presentation

overall mood and personality
However, the original colors do NOT need to be preserved.
Everything must be reconstructed through the three selected pieces.
Do not turn the subject into a different person.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【POSE, OUTFIT, AND BACKGROUND】
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The original pose does not need to be copied exactly.
You may redesign:
pose
camera angle
crop
clothing details

background

spatial structure
as long as the character remains recognizable.
Recognition comes first.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

【TEXT】

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Unless explicitly requested, do NOT add:
text
slogans
logos
captions
brand names
signatures
watermarks
The artwork should stand on the relationship between the character, the three pieces, and the visual structure alone.
If text is explicitly requested, it must also obey the same three-piece restriction.
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【OUTDATED SOLUTIONS ARE PROHIBITED】
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Avoid:

simple three-color filter treatment
merely posterizing a photo
character plus flat background only

cheap comic-book effects

full-surface halftone everywhere
one repetitive line weight everywhere
the same centered composition every time
the same color ratio every time
fake dimensionality through gradients

hiding weak structure behind glow effects

old event-poster style

old game-promo style

old YouTube-thumbnail style

Instead, prioritize:

asymmetry

negative space

bold planes
refined lines
piece collision
pattern repetition
layered depth
silhouette power
visual rhythm

surprising distribution
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【DO NOT MAKE THE SAME ARTWORK EVERY TIME】

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

For every generation, redesign:

the role of each piece
the ratio of each piece
the character position
the composition
the pattern logic
the spacing
the depth relationship
Even if the same three pieces are used, the result should not feel repetitive.
The three pieces are not a limitation.
They are a design system.

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

【ORIGINALITY】

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

You may draw inspiration only from the general idea of creating a strong image from a limited number of visual pieces.
Do NOT directly recreate any specific existing work’s:
color placement

pose

composition

silhouette
pattern arrangement
background logic
structural design
Using the attached image and the three selected pieces, create:
a new role system

a new formal structure

a new composition

a new visual space
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【FINAL CHECK BEFORE COMPLETION】

━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━

Are only the three selected pieces visible?
Were white, black, or gray added without permission?
Is there any fourth-color artifact?
Are gradients absent?
Is there no transparency creating a false intermediate color?
Are no lighter/darker variants being used?
Has the original skin tone been fully translated?

Is this more than a simple three-color filter?

Does each piece have a meaningful role?

Are the roles of the pieces not overly fixed?
Are the character and the pieces integrated?
Is the character still recognizable?

Was the original pose not blindly copied?

Is there a clear compositional focus?
Are the visual pieces not clumped in one place?
Is negative space used effectively?
Is the form language structural rather than decorative-only?
Does it avoid looking like an old poster or template?
Is it clearly not a copy of a preexisting work?
If the three pieces were replaced, would the meaning and power of the artwork change significantly?
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
【FINAL GOAL】
━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
The final result is NOT:
“the attached image converted into three colors.”
The final result is:

“a complete art-directed visual work in which the character, forms, patterns, negative space, and composition are all reconstructed around three selected pieces.”

Do not merely apply color.
Design the pieces.
Do not merely place three colors.
Assign roles to the three pieces.
Do not simply color the character.
Translate the character into a three-piece visual world.
Treat the three pieces not as a limitation,
but as the system that builds the world.
High quality.
Refined.
Contemporary.
Bold.
Beautiful negative space.
Powerful planes.
Clear silhouette.
Layered depth.
Strong originality.
Distinct art direction.
Final goal:
not
“character + three colors”

but
“the three pieces themselves become the art.”

Did Namit personally tell you that they picked a shot from the actual movie render ? 🤣or that fake bald concept artist told u ?? Even if they did,,, Photoshop is still used for most of the poster work, including compositing, colour correction, extra detailing and the final polish. Using a rendered shot as the base doesn’t mean the poster itself is a VFX achievement. My point still stands, gawar. Stop confusing movie VFX with poster design.

And here it is. The crux of it all.

Coyne perfectly exemplifies Canada's establishment who've been raised to mistake its inherited biases for wisdom and its privileges for the natural order of things.

If you challenge either, and the condescension and smears begin. They expect everyone else to accept their believed "rightful place" because they have no intention of surrendering theirs.

Its getting tougher every day to take a deep breath and ignore –we'll never forget what's been revealed.
