My painting, Fissure, installed on the movable wall at Abend Gallery during my solo exhibit, Dissolution. I miss this one. 😭 Does anyone miss their paintings once they're shipped to a gallery or new home?

At 8ft x 42 in (244 x 107 cm), Spectre is the largest work I've painted. It was designed for the lyrics of the song 'Wildfire', Michael Martin Murphy. The lyrics are represented on the canvas.

As I watched him, I descended into sadness. The grass collected me. It had become symbolic of ubiquity and perseverance. Its perennial existence was beautiful. He was beautiful... and damaged. And he could no longer eat it at his age.
