@AceKadet@SamLStandsUp Very little contact training during the season though, way less than Rugby training. The 215k would only be taxed at ~25%, so not a bad option vs the UK. Don’t know about France tho.
@ZeroBasis@dennishegstad Surely it should be equivalent to the average gas tax paid in Texas, which is $120 a year….
From the Texas DOT: Our state gas tax is 20¢ per gallon. The average driver pays $9.52 a month in state fuel taxes.

@willgkelleher@sjamesjourno The difference after tax between the post tax income between the UK and US money is pretty small (~$10k assuming he isn’t in CA), and he has huge upside if he makes it.
@MilesWinter95@TheRugbyPaper@neilfissler I think the French still have the ‘Impatriate regime’ for foreign sports players which is beneficial, especially for image rights. In the UK he is going to be paying 42/43% tax, I think it could be significantly less in Paris which would change the calculation.
@wrfc1994 The charge placed on the club by Sports Council England is 48 pgs and specifically states it includes all property owned by the club. I can’t see how the transfer of property could be completed.
@oliveryorke You would think a guy with referee as his profession would know that an early push is a free kick not a penalty. How we ended up on our goal line is a joke
@PogMoThonMF @jvanbred How were the locals not equipped to contain it? How does this ‘prove’ police need more military equipment, which has to be paid for by local taxpayers?
@jvanbred The FBI, not the police resolved the situation with the appropriate equipment. Your tweet is misleading, as the local police didn’t need military grade equipment to end this safely for the hostages.
@rugby_ap The side entry from 4 is immaterial, there are 2 other Exeter players there legally and there is no Quins player in a position to remotely force a turnover. It’s also not dangerous. If you want that called start watching NFL.
@matt_levine Banks buying things for their clients - HSBC ended up buying Cambridge Water, so their biggest client could buy a different water company…..
HSBC buys Cambridge Water Company https://t.co/dM4IKfP7Lx
@NFL_MNF tired of ‘music city miracle’ flashbacks year after year when @Titans play the @BuffaloBills!! What about airtime for the greatest comeback in NFL history that the @BuffaloBills orchestrated against the (now) Titans?!? Time for some new content! #BillsMafia
@watts_mf@pbrealey@BearsBeyondGate The law is clear (see below), the ref interpretation is what matters! How these change is what causes so much confusion (3)
Watching the last minute of the Leicester-Sarries game shows that the refs clearly decided they got this wrong and were looking to stop it happening again @BearsBeyondGate
Honestly not sour grapes but genuine question for @BearsBeyondGate listeners. Is this a 'tackle' by Billy V on Lloyd? If not, what is it? A clear out from the side? Healey called it a ruck in commentary....
@watts_mf@pbrealey@BearsBeyondGate The game is just so complex, that these ref meetings basically set the interpretations for lots of things. For the ref nerd the key question in law is when a tackle is over, that’s what all of this boils down to. (2)
